Description
I have Built with help from a friend and a local tribe Boy, a traditional style mud hut on the beach in kilifi, kenya. Its big 7metre round stucture functions as a space for courses and workshops, community cultural events, suitable for art collectives as well as retreats for travelers and tourists. Made to be a healing santuary for Meditation yoga, dance and music, we invite teachers to use the space to put on courses, offering a free place to a local on each course. Teachers need no up front costs in order to enable artists opportunities to Work in their discipline.
It is a space to meet in circle and ceremony sharing skills and knowledge with people from round the world.
The hut that we call a temple is basically finished but there are many jobs physical and creative to improve it.
The hut is directly in front of the sea in the beach in a quiet lagoon. Kilifi is a very safe place in Africa and the hostel 10 Minutes away brings much entertainment and good company. The Land belongs to the family tribe giriama so a Cultural experience whilst with more privacy and space is available here.
We began the building in December 2018 Using all our savings from the European summer. For those that help at this stage we can offer free holiday stays in the Future. Also an option is for those travellers looking for private time alone we can offer the hut for a week in exchange for work.
I am megan or my african name the locals call me is kaluwa. I am interested in Intercultural interdisiplinary and interactive art creations. Trance exstatic dance therapy and voice; singing storytelling, poetry. I have traveled years and live on the land.
My Vision is this place will be used by art or theatre collectives and musician's to rehearse. For elders and children, eco warriors and those that wish to receive and share healing. It's also a perfect writers retreat.
The final purpose of the space is to provide a refuge to pregnant travellers that need a place to rest in nature.Types of help and learning opportunities

Whats Special here is Theres propably few places in the world Built so close to the ocean. The Water is super safe in this beach, shallow and warm. Suitable for children as they can help with all the jobs, collecting water from the sea and getting muddy. The white Sands of bofa beach are close and very dreamlike.Help
