Hello we are young we are continuing with the typical of our fathers, where our ancestors migrated from the Andes to be rooted here in the central jungle, live in the Department of Junín and have an organic farm of coffee that we work all day with 5 hours per day in the treatment of coffee, we make plantations, coffee harvest that takes place from March to June , cleaning, cupping, developing a sustainable agriculture.

We carry out work of agriculture where volunteers learn the artisan cultivation techniques and also use organic fertilizer (compus), where this we prepare it in our field with waste from the shell of the same coffee, to be used in the same.
We try to stay in these lands since at this time young people migrate to the cities in search of better opportunities and leaving their lands, their identity, roots and culture.
Our main activity is coffee, also grow bananas, yucca, pineapple.
We live in a small town called Los Zorzales, here we do not have electricity live in nature without intervention of the technology it is a perfect place to get away from what both these tired, here breathe nature, have contact with nature and purificas your soul, accompanied by a rich coffee...
Weekend leave to walk we visit waterfalls, caves, communities and learn the city of Pichanaki, among other places.

hola, en este mes es el mes de la plantacion del cafe, nesecitamos jovenes que puedan echar una mano en las plantaciones de cafe y reforestacion de arboles maderables para tener un mundo sano y ayudar al planeta a combatir la contaminacion, somos jóvenes que venimos continuando con lo típico de nuestros padres , donde nuestros ancestros emigraron de los Andes para tener sus raíces aquí en la selva central, vivimos en el departamento de Junin y tenemos una finca orgánica de café que trabajamos todo los días con 5 horas diarias en el tratamiento del café, realizamos plantaciones,cosecha de café que se realiza de Marzo hasta junio, limpieza, catación, desarrollando una agricultura sostenible.

Realizamos labores de agricultura donde los voluntarios aprenden las técnicas del cultivo artesanal y también utilizamos abono orgánico (compus), donde este lo preparamos en nuestro campo con residuos de la cascara del mismo café, para ser utilizado en la misma.
Tratamos de permanecer en en estas tierras ya que en esta época los jóvenes emigran a las ciudades en busca de mejores oportunidades y dejando sus tierras, su identidad, raíces y cultura.
Nuestra actividad principal es el café, también cultivamos plátanos, yuca, piña.
Vivimos en un pueblito llamado Los Zorzales, aquí no tenemos electricidad vivimos en la naturaleza sin intervención de la tecnología es un lugar perfecto para escaparte de lo que tanto estas cansado, aquí respiras naturaleza, tienes contacto con la naturaleza y purificas tu alma, acompañado de un rico café....
Los fines de semana salimos a pasear visitamos cataratas, cuevas, comunidades y conocer un poco la ciudad de Pichanaki entre otros lugares.

What an adventure !
I stayed for 2 weeks in the coffee plantation in April 2019, what you need to know:
- First contact was easy and I got a very quick answer (I arrived on the farm a few days later).
- The nature is beautiful, it is very quite and you can spot birds, etc. I appreciated very much the calm and the wifi break. (Though it's too bad… read more there isn't much places to go for a walk as the mud path was so bad when I was there).
- You are going to learn and experience everything about coffee from the picking to the drying (never going to see a coffee bean in the same way ;) )
- They have 4 harvest a year for the coffee and they also need help to improve the place outside of harvest time,
- Very basic confort and cleaningness:
no electricity (so no fridge, wifi, recharging batteries or anything like that) and better not be afraid of animals/bugs/etc. (there was 4 bats living on the first floor, a bee nest close to my bed, sometimes ants/spider in the toilet and an invasion of cockroach in the kitchen) and you will get bitten/stung/burned/etc. by the mosquitoes, ants, caterpillars, etc, in the field.
- There are 2 (very basic, not so clean) beds you could use (no privacy), one has a mosquito net.
- You definitely need a sleeping bag, a flashlight, toilet paper and anything you'll need, there is nothing available (the small village of la Florida is far and the road terrible). Bring extra food (that doesn't need a fridge) for snacks
- Toilet and shower are outside (with some tarp walls), kitchen is a woodfire (better make sure you know how to start a fire (there is no paper) as sometimes the workers would leave without warning and let you take care of your food.
- Food is provided (lots of food), but it is very oily and I recommend to bring porridge or something for breakfast or you will eat rice.
- Ask in advance for rober boots or buy some as it is a nightmare to walk on the steep wet field with any shoes that are not good enough (I ask them a few times but it took them 9 days to bring them),
- 2 weeks is a long time if you are by yourself, there is nothing to do the evenings. Bring books (and as I couldn't even recharge my ipad, I couldn't even watch movies after the first week, I must admit I was bored after a week),
- Isaias is a very good teacher and a fun guy, but he barely stays on the project so you probably ended up with Pancho and his girlfriend, they are friendly, but discussions are quite basic. She is the one that cooks. Make sure to ask them in advance about anything you wanna know, as they are not huge communicators and will only inform you at the last second.
- I agree with the other review that you may feel more like you are one of the workers, like you own them something, with Isaias you have more the feeling that you are learning things and that you are a volunteer.

Al final nunca conoscimos Isaias, nos parecio de ser mas trabajadores que huéspedes voluntarios.
