Come to Hokkaido, Japan and help us with our holiday chalet.

At moment, we are looking people who experience in handy work. Such as mechanical, plumber, painting, electrician, lawn mowing , whipper snipping, gardening, CAD design,advert design etc.

Our chalet is located close to Rusutsu ski resort and 1 hour drive or bus to Niseko Hirafu ski resort. Our holiday chalet is based on side of hill of Lake Toya.

We are on the shores of Lake Toya, a large volcanic lake situated in Shikotsu-Toya National Park in Hokkaido, Japan. (UNESCO Global Geo park)

Local Toyamachi town which is 1.5-1.7km and takes average 20 minutes to walk (Depending on different person walking speed). Convince store(Seicomart open 7am-11pm) and it's 1.7km away from we live. You can enjoy walking on the foot path on the edge of Lake Toya. Post office just right in front of Seicomart across of road(you can use ATM international cash withdraw service). Also, the bus stop get off from Sapporo station called Toya Mizuno Eki (Toya water of station) which is also the roadside station with tourist information centre inside of building.

We have organic veggies & fruits garden in spring and summer time.

We are looking for the helpers who have good attitude, work independently, responsible and willing to do physical work.

*What are we offering?

1. In exchange for 6 hours work a day and 5 days a week. (various tasks e.g. spring/summer time do gardening, weeding,maintenance jobs, construction, painting, cooking, housekeeping,snow clearing, cleaning, help with IT etc.
We offer 3 meals and accommodation(laundry,wifi, toilet paper and the utilities water, kerosene, gas, electricity.) in rooms in a very large, beautiful house on an amazing property overlooking the Lake Toya.

2. There are many opportunities for helpers on their day off to do on themselves swimming, hiking, bird and animal watching, onsen bathing, volcano sightseening, visits to farms, and general touring of lake surrounds.

3. A government funded walking path along the lakes edge through the UNESCO listed Geo park is directly connected to the property. This makes access to the park unrivalled.

4. We encourage helpers to experience best what Hokkaido has to offer - nature (clear volcanic lake, nice hiking) and culture.

Work exchangers will live with us in "The Lookout" which is 800 meter to 1km (in winter time) away. Room shares with 2-3 people in a large room. We also have washing machine, big sharing bathroom.
*We do not provide personal washing amenities. We provide nice accommodation with cover all utilities and 3 meals(Breakfast,lunch and dinner).

- WATER BOTTLE
- WORKING CLOTHES
- WARM CLOTHES,SNOW BOOTS &GLOVES.
- Comfortable working/walking shoes or hiking boots.

Yi-Ching and Julien were terrific hosts! I was the first volunteer they had had, so it was a great experience helping them to set up.

The house itself is magnificent and the grounds on which it is located are even more so. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to do some hard, honest work, by the magical lake Toya.
