    Description

My name is Sandira. I was born in France and lived for 10 years in the south of Portugal.
I moved to this land last summer, in a magical valley in the foot hills of the serra da Estrela (the star mountains), in the center of Portugal.
The project is on seed level, in the process of being born.
I am in the phase of setting the basic infrastructure to eventually welcome groups on the land.

To give you a feeling of the dream of this place, I can name few lines of research that I wish to see developing in this place: tools for authentic communication (like Non-violent communication and the art of feedbacking), permaculture in cocreation with nature spirits, darkness work (the experience of living in total darkness for several days or weeks), research in free energy and the use of the power of collective intention, creating several power places, as, for example, an underground crypt, research on the power of sound and creation of sacred instruments...
I am as well the co-founder of a international network of "bee explorers" where we work with honeybees as guides, teachers and healers (research in apitherapy and apipuncture, bee-pedagogy, bee-friendly hives construction and energetic weaving with the bees).

Some essential values carried by and invited on the land: self-responsibility ("I am responsible for myself and don't project my own issues on others") , sovereignty ("I know that I create my reality"), authentic communication ("I speak what's happening within me, and if I am not able to, I speak that I am not able to speak, at least:)"), mutual support (because somewhere, beyond the beauty of our differences, I am you and you are me...), congruence ("I do what I say, I say what I do")...

Everybody who comes in this valley says that it has something magical that is deeply nourishing and empowering. It is a place for reconnecting with oneself, with nature and for giving space to existential questions which are very much needed in these times like... why am I here?, what are my gifts to this world?, how can I step out of my little self, be in service for a bigger picture, and participate in the cocreation of a planetary garden, down here, in this crazy world?

  • Help

    Help

I need help in ecoconstruction and gardening.
It is important for me that the workawayers feel a resonance with the project and the values described in the introduction text.
I am calling for people preferably over 35 or 40, who already have a certain level of maturity and self-responsibility.
And if our personalities, values and visions match, I am open for people who would like to the join the project.

    Food:
We can share lunch (vegetarian) and cook in turns for the 5 working days of the week.
For the other meals (breakfast, dinner, and the 2 lunches of the weekend), you will have to be autonomous and cook for yourself in the collective kitchen.
For now, 30 to 50% of the ingredients are organic (mostly the grains),
and when the garden starts producing it will be more, yepee!
I wish to keep the Quinta free of industrial meat consumption, please don't bring meat with you.

    Accommodation:
A sofa bed in the barn.
On rainy days this room is also used for common meals.
    Toilets compost and solar shower.
