Description
We live near the coast in north Waikato, on a small lifestyle property. We have a deeply rural feeling with large farms around us, beautiful views across farmland to the west coast often with spectacular sunsets and night skies. This is a beautiful area with a very peaceful rural escape feeling to it.
Our house has recently been refurbished and we have facilities for bed and breakfast guests. We are new to this site but have hosted many travellers from many countries (contact has usually been by word of mouth) and thoroughly enjoy the experiences.
We need help mostly with gardening projects - developing new areas and hand weeding pest plants in our small bush area.
We have 15 hens, vegetable gardens and a tennis court. You could even choose to camp in our top field in one of our retro tents for a sense of peaceful rural escape.
Your own transport is best because of our location which also means it works well to work some longer days with full days off to explore the area (Port Waikato, Raglan, Hamilton) however if you are interested but don’t have own vehicle please contact us anyway as we may be able to pick you up. Pick up and drop to/from Auckland airport is often possible.
We are just ten minutes drive from Nikau Cave () which is a “not to miss” adventure tourism experience.Types of help and learning opportunities
