    Description

    Our Resort will open for guests May 22, 2024 and we will be looking for helpers starting April 2024. We cleanup our campground from Mother Nature over the Winter and prepare our cabins for guests. We also do a variety of projects in April such as painting and repairs to the cabins so they are ready for our guests for our opening May 2024.

    We are looking for helpers COUPLES OR SINGLE PEOPLE who can commit to long stay 4-8 weeks

    If you would like to experience living/working for room and board plus a wage each week at a beautiful lakeside resort in a rural rustic setting at the foot of the mountains I may be the host for you!
    The resort has 7. historic themed cabins and a large campsite with 20 spots for tents and RVs set in the mountains and opposite Gates Lake on the road from Pemberton (small town north of Whistler ski resort) to D'Arcy The resort has Internet and land line phone service but no cell service.
    Great experience out in nature as this gig gives access to the forest, mountains and the lake. Amazing wildlife and outdoor activities in the area. You will be housed on site in a staff trailer We have central flush washrooms with hot showers.

    DUTIES APRIL AND MAY UNTIL OPENING
    We need experience in CONSTRUCTION, PAINTING, LANDSCAPING and CUSTOMER BOOKINGS
    You will be preparing all aspects of the resort for guests. Any landscaping, stone work, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, skills etc an asset. Must be strong and have lots of energy.
    OUTDOOR WORK - Sites cleaned and raked with some burning of waste when permitted , repairing and placing of picnic furniture.
    Forest setting so lots of hard work is involved and All outdoor equipment, BBQs, furniture etc has to be cleaned and maintained

    MID June - END OF SEPTEMBER
    You will be part of a team assisting with the operating of the resort for guests, weddings and events
    CUSTOMER and SITE SERVICES
    To assist with tourist traffic at the resort in the office, coffee shop and food truck
    This includes full maintenance of the cabins, campsites and common areas of the resort.
    It is a very busy place and we require those with a professional attitude when helping with guest services
    Helping with recycling and garbage removal, clean up on the campground, maintaining hot tub, watering gardens, mowing lawns etc
    CABIN CLEANING - Stripping cabins of garbage, recycling materials, bedding etc and cleaning out /resetting the wood stoves Stocking the cabins with the required bedding, towels and full cleaning if their are mid week turn overs

    COMPENSATION- Accommodation, 3 meals every day, and a financial payment every 2 weeks.

    The host is an amazing cook ....so great home cooking at meal times. Host has travelled extensively and is very outgoing with a good sense of humour. This is NOT a situation for "prince/princesses" but if you love the outdoors, are into an adventure, and enjoy a back to nature lifestyle then this would be an ideal match. Non smokers preferable or must smoke in designated area.
