HELPERS FOR A WEDDING IN SEPTEMBER AT A RUSTIC RESORT ON GATES LAKE

If you would like to experience living/working at a beautiful lakeside resort in a rural rustic setting at the foot of the mountains I may be the host for you!
The resort has 6 historic themed cabins and a large campsite with 20 spots for tents and RVs set in the mountains and opposite Gates Lake on the road from Pemberton (small town north of Whistler ski resort) to D'Arcy The resort has Internet and land line phone service but no cell service.
Great experience out in nature as this gig gives access to the forest, mountains and the lake. Amazing wildlife and outdoor activities in the area. You will be housed on site in a staff trailer We have central flush washrooms with hot showers.

    DUTIES
You will be part of a team assisting with a large wedding You will help with the setup of the facility , assisting guests and the clean up afterwards The regular duties include all aspects of site maintenance and customer service in all areas with regular guests in the next month We will train you to help with our guests here
Landscaping work and cleaning of all facilities at the resort (cabins, store, coffee shop, staff facilities, food truck) are ongoing

    CUSTOMER and SITE SERVICES
To assist with tourist traffic at the resort in the office, coffee shop and food truck
This includes full maintenance of the cabins, campsites and common areas of the resort.
It is a very busy place and we require those with a professional attitude when helping with guest services
Helping with recycling and garbage removal, clean up on the campground, maintaining hot tub, watering gardens, mowing lawns etc

ONGOING PROJECTS - Creating a new patio area, painting, landscaping and construction projects. Experience painting would be great. Any landscaping, stone work, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, skills etc an asset. Must be strong and have lots of energy.

OUTDOOR WORK - Sites cleaned and raked with some burning of waste when permitted , repairing and placing of picnic furniture.
Forest setting so lots of hard work is involved and All outdoor equipment, BBQs, furniture etc has to be cleaned and maintained

CABIN CLEANING - Stripping cabins of garbage, recycling materials, bedding etc and cleaning out /resetting the wood stoves Stocking the cabins with the required bedding, towels, etc prior to the cleaners arriving Occasional full cleaning if their are mid week turn overs

COMPENSATION- Accommodation, 3 meals every day (including days off), occasional use of a car, a small financial payment .

The host is an amazing cook who has worked as a chef....so great home cooking at meal times. Host has travelled extensively and is very outgoing with a good sense of humour. This is NOT a situation for "prince/princesses" but if you love the outdoors, are into an adventure, and enjoy a back to nature lifestyle then this would be an ideal match. Non smokers only please
PLEASE NOTE INTERNET DEVICES MAY ONLY BE USED IN THE STAFF ACCOMMODATION ON YOUR OWN TIME. If you are unable to comply to this requirement PLEASE DO NOT APPLY to help us here, thank you We encourage you to interact with each other and learn about the local culture of this amazing area
Please do not apply unless you are genuinely willing to come, have valid papers to be in Canada, work hard, PUT YOUR PHONE AWAY and socialize with others and be part of the WorkAway family
    ....Thank you!
