Description
Hi! My name is Sophie! I’ve just finished school and am now doing my gap year. I hope to see lots of beautiful corners of Europe and meet many lovely people over this next year! I have a love for reading and writing and I’m also getting into IT! Over the next year I will be teaching myself some different IT skills online but I’m also open to taking a break from my electronics if necessary.
I speak English and German fluently (my dad's English and my mum is German). My Spanish is good enough for me to be able to communicate but I hope to improve it!
When traveling, I especially like to explore nature and unique places with interesting stories behind them. I like it when things have a feeling of fantasy or mystery. I also hope to get a lot of good tips from locals on where to go.
I moved houses a lot as a kid and grew up with a lot of different au-pairs. I believe those things contributed to my love for seeing new places and meeting new people now.
I've been living in a city for years now and I long for the nature that surrounded me in my childhood. I have a love for nature but I still need to and want to learn about how to actively be conscious of it and take care of it. And now I want to find a way to unite nurture both my love for nature and my growing interest in technology.
I would describe myself as a very ambitious and optimistic person and I hope to learn a lot of new things during my travels!
I'm especially interested in visiting Andalucía, Spain because I grew up in the area and would love to reconnect with the place and its language (we moved away when I was 8).Interests

I have been babysitting regularly (around twice a week) for three years. I have babysitted kids between the ages of 20 months to 11 years. But I have the most experience with kids between the age of 3-6 years.
I've also been doing petsitting for the past months, regularly walking big and small dogs and occasionally housesitting/taking care of cats and dogs while the owners were on holiday.
I know how to do basic household tasks, including cooking, as I try to help my parents around the house. But if you have a preference to a specific method of how things should be done, I’d be happy to adapt to that. I learn very quickly and I’m confident that I could learn any basic skill in just a day.
I don’t have much experience with gardening, farming or renovation yet but I'm strong and a fast learner!Age

What else ...
There's no need to worry too much about my allergies. None of them are too dangerous, and I always have my medicine on me. If I'm not the one cooking, I would appreciate open communication about what's in the food and if you're unsure about whether I can eat it.

She is ambitious, perfectionist and done her tasks in the best way she could.
Sophie was great with our baby and became like a big sister to her.
At the farm Sophie helped us renovate our ruin, she quickly figured how to work with lime and she pointed an entire wall.
She also helped us with outdoor… read more
