Activities we are interested in:
We are in Colombia right now! We're currently in our second workaway experience and having the best time! We're interested in the outdoors, cultural exchanges, adventures, and connecting through art
Description
We love interacting and making connections with new people, especially while also being immersed in a wide variety of cultural settings; cultural immersion is what has allowed for a lot of personal growth in our lives, mainly through stepping out of our comfort zones, where we can encounter new challenges. Along with connecting to new places and people, we love the collaboration that often comes with new relationships/connections that allow for meaningful contributions and simultaneous skill development; working with new people with unique backgrounds, we feel, can result in a lot of productive teamwork and mutual growth.

Lola:
Hi, I'm Lola and I'm a recent graduate of UNC - Chapel Hill with a major in Hispanic Linguistics and a minor in Chemistry. I have plenty of experience with child care and with animal care, as I've spent a few years of my life babysitting and animal sitting (in addition to house sitting). I've also done some tutoring for young children in English, Math, and Reading.
I currently work as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), where I have obtained plenty of experience with emergency situations and with interacting with a diverse range of patients. My job requires that I am up-to-date on CPR training (I am CPR certified), and it has trained me to work well in high-pressure situations.
I'm super outdoorsy; I do well spending time outside, including if that means doing some gardening or building work . I've volunteered sporadically in community gardens close to the places where I've resided. I'm a fast learner and enjoy collaborating with others very much; I'm quite personable, so I work well with others.
In my free time, I like to craft/do art. I tend to do a lot in the realm of sewing, drawing, and crocheting; but I also love to decorate and have done a bit of photography and would be interested in putting these skills to use if needed.
Zoe-
Hey, I'm Zoe and I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in North Carolina last Spring! During undergrad I studied Environmental Studies and Social & Economic Justice, focusing mainly on food and water inequity. Since college I have worked as a farmer in Massachusetts, doing food rescue and access work through the organization and running volunteer groups at the farm.
I'm very passionate about understanding the food systems and politics of where I am as well as transportation and city planning. I have experience working in the service industry, both as a bar tender and as a barista and one of my favorite things about that is my ability to connect and interact with so many different types of people.
I'm my free time I like to write, to do art, to explore the outdoors, biking, and doing yoga. I'm looking forward to be able to put into practice all of my various interests and skills while traveling and am excited to expand my experience through workaway!Age

What else ...
I love to cook a lot; I was vegan for several years and then vegetarian for a couple more years, which has allowed me to explore a lot of different recipes and flavors for fun. I am now pescatarian (but very flexible while traveling) and would love to expand my interest in cooking if the opportunity is presented to me. I am also someone who appreciates cleanliness and organization, so I am good at keeping up with chores and tasks.
