Canada - from Mar 2024 until Mar 2026 View allDescription
Hello!
We, Robin and Loréna, are a French couple. We are arrived in Canada since March 2024. We expect to stay for 2 years at least. We both have an open visa/work permit.
We are looking for new opportunities from mi-october in Québec or Ontario.
From march to April we helped in a farm in McBride, BC (animal care : bisons/horses/chickens, gardening, building : insulate a barn, multitasking : help around the house/cleaning/cooking/firewood, etc.)
Now we are woking for the summer season in a glamping resort Rafting & Yoga : housekeeping, kitchen help, landscaping, general maintenance, carpentry.
Loréna, 28, I am an engineer, my job is to counsel companies on how to improve the working conditions and well-being of their employees.
Horserider since my 11, I had my own horse, and did some dressage and showjumping competitions. I would love to try new ways to ride, like western riding.
So, I have skills on how to handle horses, groom, exercise, cleaning stables, etc.
Animal lover, I made the choice to not eat meat anymore, I'm vegetarian (ok fish).
In 2017, I did 5 HelpX experience alone in Australia and it was a wonderful experience (farmstay and house sitting mainly).
About me, I'm an easygoing person, always optimistic and full of joy. I enjoy learning new things and new skills in any subject, curious about everything and hardworker.
I would love to work with animals, all of them (horses are my favorites) in a place surrounded by nature.
Why Canada ? Because of the canadian serie "Heartland". I fell in love with the landscapes and the cowboy lifestyle when I was young, so I promessed myself that one day I would go to Canada. This day has come, I expect to fully enjoy this experience.
Robin, 26 years old, I am a butcher and I also have a carpenter degree.
Having already lived and worked on a farm (sheep, cattle, deer farm) for 1 year in New Zealand in 2018-2019, I have skills in general farming chores like looking after the animals, or fencing, etc.
I love new challenges and I can't wait to meet new people.
I'm a respectful, polite and smiling man, who loves to play at any games. Live plainly like there's no tomorrow. That's why I'm always excited to progress, try, experience.
We are looking for a simple life surrounded by nature and animals, wishing to discover the real Canadian life, enjoying remote places. Whatever the place, we are open to any type of work, and learn new things. As rugby players, we are not afraid of manual and outdoor work and getting our hands dirty.Interests

Feedback
The family, Irene, Marc and Roberta are so welcoming, caring and generous.
They deserve all the happiness in the world.
They showed us their village and the surrounding area, integrated into their community (so cheerful).
We shared a lot of moments outside of work and they helped us for many things.… read more
