J'ai passé dix jours très enrichissants chez Pauline et Julien! Ils ont été très accueillants et chaleureux et m'ont facilement inclue dans leur vie quotidienne. Ils sont passionnés par leur projet d'autosuffisance et ont envie de partager leurs connaissance, ce qui se sent au quotidien. Bienveillants, patients et disponibles, ils ont du temps et de l'énergie à consacrer aux personnes qui les aident, ce qui a rendu mon séjour d'une dizaine de jours très agréable. Ils font particulièrement attention à ce que les tâches à effectuer soient variées et à trouver un bon équilibre entre accompagnement et autonomie. Je leur suis également très reconnaissante de m'avoir fait découvrir leur région et de m'avoir inclue dans leurs activités familiales. C'est avec plaisir que je reviendrai leur rendre visite si l'occasion se présente!

I spent three weeks with Petra and her two daughters. Between gardening, cleaning and tidying up, I was very well received: very welcoming, and open, you immediately felt comfortable with them. The house is very pleasant and relaxing, surrounded by nature where life is very good. It was a real pleasure to help them with everyday tasks. Thanks again for hosting me! Would definitely recommend it! And sorry for my late feedback!

This was our first workday experience and it could not have been better! We had an amazing two weeks learning cob building. We had some great pescatarian meals and we were so comfortable with frank and heaven as well as their home and neighborhood! We met friends, played pool, and tried some awesome food and wine. Public transportation was also cheap and easy! The work was very rewarding when you see your project coming together and it felt good to do physical labor. We learned a lot about cob building and even got a chance to see some other completed natural buildings in the area! This is perfect for you if you want to get comfortable with bio-construction!

I enjoyed hosting Thomas & Anders immensely and could not have asked for better Workaways. They did everything that I asked them to do and more . They never complained about anything. They were fun to be with no matter where we were or what we were doing. They were both so courteous , respectful, and appreciative. Their parents taught them well. I consider them life long friends and look forward to seeing them again and hearing of all their adventures and accomplishments. They will go far in life. Thomas & Anders are always welcome in my home. I am enjoying The Little Book of HYGEE- The Danish Way to Live Well. Thank you for all of the memories of our time together. Lindy

Fue muy buena su visita de Lisa es muy trabajadora, activa, comunicativa desarrollo diversos trabajos y también pudo desarrollar su creatividad con toda libertad. Compartió buenos momentos con otros voluntarios que se encontraba en la Casa . Y los días que se quedó se sintió una buena vibra de amistad y lo sentí como parte de mi familia. Recomiendo a Lisa dónde valla. Un fuerte abrazo por siempre

A private place with plenty of room to enjoy both the indoor and outdoor spaces. Daniela provided excellent direction regarding the care of her cats and the use of her home, and we were in communication with each other throughout my stay. I'm glad to have had the opportunity!

A very warm and kind family. Spent a month with them and really enjoyed my visit!! I learned a lot about the nature, ate very tasty food and got to spend quality time with the family and in their beautiful property! Would really recommend 😊

We stayed for four weeks along with our two children, and it is hard to put into words just how wonderful our time was. First of all, we deeply appreciate the warm welcome you gave to our family of four. This was our first Workaway experience, and we have to say we were incredibly lucky to have met such a wonderful family!! 4 cute and lovely children are so adorable and eager to teach us many things. We went to so many places together, like the library, the skate park, and the playground, and had so much fun playing together. Despite our children not being fluent in English, your children always played with them, making their days truly enjoyable. The week we spent living on the farm was an incredible experience beyond our imagination. We explored the vast grounds together, took care of the cows and horses, and had experiences we had never had before. Once again, we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to have such a wonderful stay. When we think of the last day, we still get a little emotional and tear up. As we promised, we will definitely meet again! We are already looking forward to that day!

My experience with the Fundación was really great! I stayed a month in the beautiful finca belonging to Felipe's family, where I borrowed a bike to get around town. Felipe and Juanita are both extremely warm and generous people. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Felipe to see the behind the scenes of an environmental ngo. He really values your opinion and involves you with every aspect of the work. I learnt a lot during my stay and will stay in touch to see how the projects develop that I got to help with. Thank you so much for everything truly, I look forward to seeing how the ngo develops and maybe working together however i can! Warm embrace, Giselle

Such a wonderful all-round experience. John and his beautiful family are so welcoming, kind and caring. They were very knowledgeable and helpful (I needed a pharmacy and other supplies when I arrived, they took me everywhere I needed on the scooter and gave me a little tour of the local area in the meantime). The food was great and the work was enjoyable and not overly strenuous. I would highly recommend staying here if you get the chance! Thank you all for your help, compassion and an enjoyable trip. This was my first volunteer experience in Japan, and it was an authentic one. The family is very nice, and the kids are very active and joyful. I was assigned some very easy tasks such as minor housework and playing with the kids at the park and helping them prepare for school and helped them when they got back from school. I also joined Keik with the kids to their soccer practice and any errands they needed. The accommodation was great, I had a room and a bed with some space to put my things. They also provided a bicycle which I loved, there are some great places to explore in the area. I strongly recommend the Sodegaura Park and it's about 30 minutes on bike. I do not eat much so they were very nice in providing some small meals for me. The older kid had a little difficulty staying focused on certain tasks, so we came up with some fun games to help him stay engaged. I left the family with some good exercises to help them out and I truly felt like I had a very authentic Japanese experience living with them. I was even able to play with the local kids and teach them some new baseball skills. Thank you so much for everything!

We had a great week here volunteering in the garden for 3 hours each morning where tasks were varied from making compost, weeding and planting. We learnt a lot about permaculture from Leo who was so interesting and has inspired us to grow our own food using more nutrient dense soil. The rest of our days consisted of exploring the beautiful surroundings, dips in the river and delicious food. Highly recommend to future workawayers! Thanks so much for having us!

tuve un tiempo agradable en la casa! me quedé solo una semana, pero sé que quiero regresar un día para ver todo lo que ha cambiado, porque cada persona lleva y deja partes nuevos, que hace el lugar mágico- con buena onda y gente. freddy es una persona muy amable, comunicativa y cariñosa - gracias por tu confianza 🧡 el mundo necesita más lugares como la casa!

I had a very great experience with Mika, Muko, Hanavi, Hotaru and Matsuri. The previous Workawayer explained and showed all the tasks I would do, but it was no problem for Mika and Muko if I didn't remember everything right away. They explained and showed again and Mika helped me executing when she was not so busy. We also went out to have lunch together and Mika explained a lot about Japanese culture to me. The food they prepared was always very delicious so I looked forward to have dinner with them. Hanavi, Hotaru and Matsuri are very cute dogs with a lot of energy on chilly days. The main place to take them to is next to the Yodo river and a great spot for them to run. I enjoyed the time I spent with all of them and would love to come back some day!

Having Livia to stay with us was an absolute pleasure, she was a great help around the jungle and everyone is now safer that she has been here. We wish here all best for her life's adventures and wish her a safe journey hope

I stayed with Jacky, Sadi, Sami and Leo (Sadis brother) for three weeks and had an amazing time. They are all super friendly and I felt comfortable from the very first day. It was fun working in and around the house and I learned a lot too. There was almost always a briefing for the next day so everyone knew what was going to happen which I really apreciated. It just felt like we were part of the family and not just some random people living in the same house. When Leo went to visit his aunt who lives in the mountains for a week, we were allowed to tag along which was a unique experience aswell. All in all my time in the Jungle was an amazing and unique experience for me that I probably will never forget.

FEEDBACK for Caitlin and Nathan May 2024 Our modest rural estate benefits immensely from the help of our Workaway guests. And we achieved a lot while Caitlin and Nathan were with us ! A variety of outdoors chores were tackled into submission and what with those plus clean windows and newly cleaned venetian blinds and loads of stacked dry firewood we are well set up to front the approaching winter months. As an added benefit, Caitln leaves us today with 48 excellent muffins in the freezer and a lasagne keeps company there with her cottage pie. We wish Caitlin and Nathan many successful NZ adventures over the coming months.

The time I've spent here, these six weeks, has been incredible! Judith is such a strong, empathetic, and warm-hearted person who welcomed me with open arms from the very first minute. She included me in every part of her life and cooked the most delicious meals. We went hiking, visited waterfalls, played pickleball, geocached, met her friends, learned to shoot, and much more. For work, I helped with her many projects on the farm. I wish her much success in the future and am convinced we will stay in touch. Maybe someone else will be lucky enough to have the chance to experience this amazing place. P.S. My favorite were the cows 😆 I hope the garlic grows well! With love, Ronja

It was a pleasure to host Sophie. She is positive, hardworking, and very talented on the guitar and piano. I am very grateful for the work she did clearing our bush block—it looks amazing now thanks to her efforts. Sophie’s dedication and enthusiasm were truly appreciated. I highly recommend her and wish her all the best in her future travels.
