    Description

We have a small horse farm close to the beach in suburban Melbourne. It's a little slice of rural heaven with all the great benefits of being close to the art, culture and food options of the city which is easily accessible by public transport. The beach is a short bus trip or a 15 minute bike ride away. We have a nearly new little cabin for accommodation. With the dogs, cats and horses it's perfect if you want to spend some time with animals. We are used to visitors, regularly having our Danish extended family visiting.

We are a well travelled Australian/Danish family. The lady of the house likes all things horse but with a special interest in classical dressage and is a riding instructor. Father and son are sport crazy, especially athletics and soccer. We are happy to share an insight into our lucky lovely Australian life.

  • Help

    Help

With 19 horses there is always something to do! Especially now that quite a few are elderly and need a bit more attention. It would be great to get some help with feeding and care of the horses. There are also lots of routine jobs like fixing fences, weed control and painting. Our garden areas could also benefit from some more attention.

    Accommodation

We built a teenager retreat but now our teenager is grown up and moved out of home to his own apartments, this nearly new cabin is available for a visiting Workawayer. It comfortably sleeps 2 with a bedroom, little kitchenette, living room and toilet. This means that it would be easy to prepare simple meals in the cabin but share a main evening meal with the family.
