    Description

Welcome to our small 61 hectare hostel and it's 16 km of trails.
We are two Canadian owners and operators of the hostel, Val and Ronnie.
The hostel is surrounded by over 42,000 hectares of rainforest, and is a 30 minute walk from a small town and our office.
Our specialty is the extensive, 16 kms of self-guided trails that meander through primary and secondary forest with ocean views and waterways that lead to multiple waterfalls, all on our private 61 hectare, 150 acre property.
All volunteers have unlimited access to the trails.
For 17 years, we've had a clothing optional trail and since 2020, we've turned it completely into a clothing optional, naturism, nudism and clothed person hostel, all mixed together, becoming Costa Rica's ONLY naturist hostel of its kind.
Very importantly, we will be operating in a safe and non sexual environment without exceptions!
We want our guests and volunteers to be happy with no pressure from anyone to participate in this way of life, but we want people who are comfortable around partially or fully naked people.
THIS IS NOT A DISPLAY FOR PEOPLE'S ENTERTAINMENT!!!
People who make others uncomfortable will be found very fast and asked to leave!
Amenities: Wi Fi, sheets, towels, basic food (rice, beans, oil, salt, sugar and onions and garlic for the beans), cooking gas, use of washing machine (at the office, located 30 minutes from the hostel), use of storage area and freezer (also at the office).
There are excellent sandfly nets on all beds. It is advisable to bring bug spray, boots and flashlight.

The volunteers make the delicious onions and garlic style, rice and beans provided by us and eat when and where they want.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We're in a small village of 300 people, situated on the confluence of two rivers, The main economy of the village was based on gold mining which still exists to this day. Very slowly some of the local people are getting into tourism, but you'll have a great chance to mingle with the local culture in a place that is still very traditionally Costa Rican in many ways.
Besides the trails on our property, there is a great chance to hike in the local area.
