Area: BavariaDear workawayers, please no more inquiries for this year at the moment. But you are wellcome to get in contact for next year. Please look at our calendar 2015. We live in a small village about 20 kilometers south of munich, very near to „Starnberger See“ and not too far from the alps. Although we live in the countryside and our village is pretty small, the next railway station for the train to munich (a 30 minutes trip) is only 2 kilometers away and easy to reach by bike - even by feet in about 20 minutes. Also the lake „Starnberger See“ is not far away and also reachable by bike for a swim. Our family are 4 persons: me (50, formerly marketing manager and riding teacher), my husband (55, farmer) and our two daughters (19 and 21 years and both students), who still live with us. We run a small alpaca farm and live with lots of animals, which are an important part of our life: around 30 alpacas (which we breed), 2 horses, a nice 2-year-old white shepard, cat, some guinnee pigs, chicken). Our pasture is about 3 hectare.
Area: Bergslagen*** NOTE This summer was awesome. Thank you all volunteers for these memorable moments and all your help. This autumn we are planning to host two people at a time, 2 weeks at a time. We feel this is best for us. Look further down for our ongoing projects. Please feel free to tell us what you like to do. In January our dream is to make our own workaway journey in Europe. We start in Spain and work our way back north. *** We are Vivi and Nils with the children Rebecka Leone (3) and Stig Love (1,5). We are a warm family with lots of community projects going on, why weed need Your help! We warmly welcome you to Karbenning, a village on the countryside in Bergslagen, the heart of Sweden, easily accessed by train (Stockholm - Karbenning 2hr2min). We love gardening. We try to live our lives environmental friendly, why we eat a lot vegetables, locally produced meat and try to not use our car too often. We have a dog, Rocky.
Area: UmbriaWe live in a wonderful isolated location in a large farmhouse overlooking Lago Trasimeno surrounded by olive trees, half way up a mountain and with our family of cats and one dog (so far!). I have lived here for over 15 years and Graham joined me in 2011. I am a Tai Chi Instructor and Reiki Master and also run a policy research and evaluation organisation in the UK. Graham is a website designer. We both work from home and are vegetarians. We don't have television or radio, though we have masses of DVDs and CDs. We do have ADSL wifi at the house. We are about an hour from Perugia airport and twenty minutes from Chiusi station with a main line to Rome and Florence. Because of the isolated nature of the property it is not easy to get around without a car, though there are some lovely walks in the area. We would be happy to pick up from the airport at Perugia or Chiusi station and provide some limited transport during your stay. We prefer to have couples owing to the fact that the house is so isolated.
