I have 15 acres of land and a riding stables with 7 horses which i hope to have up and running for this summer plus a boarding kennel for dogs. I share my home with 1 brave cat and 4 small dogs! So beware because I rescue lots of animals and lots of dogs. As a consequence of my lifestyle I am always in need of help around the place caring for the animals and around the farm like maintenance work. I have two spare bedrooms or a mobile home for accommodation and would like to attract people of a like mind who love horses and dogs and the outdoor life. I’m located 9 miles from Kenmare and 2 miles from the nearest village. There is plenty of hill walking in this rural location together with sea/river angling and other activities nearby like golf etc. I’m an easy going person, enjoy company and cooking and will welcome you to share my wonderful location and my lovely animals in return for some of your energy in helping me on my land. I always have some sort of project on the go repairing, strimming, hedge cutting, gorse clearing - the usual sort of maintenance jobs! Also, anyone with carpentry skills to build a small hen house would be most welcome. i have Internet access and 2 mountain bikes for useArea: Midi Pyrenees
Jeffrey and Michelle Ulbrich are a franco-american couple (both fluent in both languages) living in a restored 13th century millhouse on 4 hectares (10 acres) of land about 100 meters from the Arros River with their dog, cat and two horses. This is extreme rural France. If you like a quiet life with plenty of greenery and practically no neighbors, this is for you. If you need nightlife and excitement, it is not. Which is not to say we don't have a lot of fun and many interesting friends. There are frequent social gatherings and varied activities. The small town of Marciac (pop 1,200) is 5 kilometers away. It has two or three cafes, three or four restaurants, a cinema and a few small shops. There is no public transportation. We are quite happy to lend you our bicycles or give you a lift into town. To come here you would travel to Tarbes where we would meet you at Tarbes train station or Tarbes/Lourdes airport.Area: Ardeche
We are guys from germany and we live in an old farmhouse in the mountains on the border of Nationalpark Cévennes in Department Ardèche/Southern France. A small holidayhouse for guests is included. We are on the wild countryside of Ardeche, ideal for people, who like nature and retirement. We are looking for one guy (we have only place left for one volunteer, no couples, sorry) who will help us with construction and building works. You dont need to be experienced but you should like to work with concrete, stones, wood and earth. If you like building and constuction work, it will be here a perfect place with a lot of space to realize your creative ideas. In the summer period (april - october) we are also organizing hiking and adventure sports weeks for groups and we cook for them. Only in these group weeks we need sometimes additional help in the kitchen and for cleaning. Not really important, but you should know: This is a gay community place, most of our guests and we are gay men. On your free days you can join the groups for hiking, cycling or kayaking or just relax on our qiet place in the mountains. There is the possibility for you to discover Southern France, the real deep country side in the mountains, to meet a lot of nice people, to learn how to construct walls and houses and enjoy an alternative, independent and down to earth lifestyle. Please note: - there is no internet access - there is no public transport, we will catch you from the next bus or train station, but if you dont have your own car or motocycle, you cant go anywhere on your own (next villiage is 16 km away)
