Area: EnglandI need help with decorating and DIY in my home overlooking the sea on the south coast of England. I am an artist and teacher. I have a studio space in the house which volunteers are welcome to use. St Leonards on sea is part of Hastings and is a mecca for creative characters. The road I live in is a lovely bohemian mix of antique and craft shops, artists studios and cafes. I am fairly quiet and spend quite a lot of time reading, meditating and painting but I also like enjoying the vast range of cafes, pubs and restaurants on offer locally. This placement would probably suit a slightly older self-reliant person ( over 25) who also enjoys some of the activities I do and is also happy to spend some time alone sightseeing or reading/using their computer in their own room. Although it might suit a younger person who enjoys a quieter peaceful environment.
Area: GentWe live in a house situated in the city of Ghent (4 km from the City Historical Center) let’s dare to say that this is one of the most interesting, cultural and sparkling city in Belgium. We are group of (young) persons (friends) from different countries and we love this multicultural environment where the main keywords are: understanding and respect. The most of us are professionals between 20 and 30 yo (but age is not really an issue for anything). We believe that living together is not easy, but each of us has to do some effort in order to make everyday life a home enjoyable for everybody. We are also sensible about ecology and we like to keep our home a place where we waste as less as possible (energy & products). Social and artistic people is really welcome, we appreciate to spend time together. In case of any issue we are all open to democratic discussions. We are all couchsurfing friendly. Because at home there are always things to repair or to keep working, we are looking for someone skilled who can think about it, something like an housekeeper but more focused on the maintenance (we are looking for someone who stays long term, at least one year starting from now) and organization of the house. Of course he will have important responsibilities about the house and the car. If you like self-organization it will be nice for you to live with us because you will get your own room and you will be quite independent in your works. CONDITIONS: Only Non-Smokers (We prefer to have non smokers at home). No Drugs at home. You get accommodation in your own room, for the food you will get a bonus dependent on the tasks that you do monthly. You need to have EU citizenship or permission (visum) to be in Europe for at least one year. You have a driving license (from time to time you need to use our Van)
Area: British ColumbiaOur B&B is a heritage bed & breakfast located on the main street in historic downtown Revelstoke. Our busiest season is summer but we also have a really nice ski season. Since opening we have hosted over 7,000 guests from 43 countries around the world. I love the bed a& breakfast business. At the moment I could use some help inside with cleaning, including guest rooms, painting and some gardening. I am proud of the level of service I give my guests including breakfasts

Area: AucklandWe are a couple with no young kids living with us. All three of them are traveling overseas. I do furniture restorations and repairs. My partner, Margaret, is a manager in a English language school for foreign students. We live in Weymouth by the Sea , South Auckland. 10-15 minutes south of the Airport. We live in close proximity to the Honua Ranges and South Head of the Manukau Harbour. We cook at home most times and you will be welcome to join us. We like cooking but don't pretend to be "Foodies or Connoisseurs". For breakfast and lunch you will need to fend for yourself. Although we are carnivorous we do not eat any Pork product at home. We can provide you with evening meals when we are at home and cooking. It will be good if you can assist and help clean after. On the weekends we do entertain a bit with people coming over the weekend for a meal or BBQ's Absolutely no smoking in the house. We do like Art but do not pretend to know much about it. We have a black cat called Chewie. You can go fishing at the end of the garden when the tide is high. Swim in the harbour and if you can sail, you can take the dingie out.
