Area: L'viv, Halitskiy District, L'viv'ska OblastABOUT ME: I am an apprentice of... everything. I have a very bizarre resume which I'm particularly proud of, and a checkered past that reflects my profound interest in a wide variety of disciplines, activities, places and cultures. This makes writing short auto-biographies very difficult, especially since I generally dislike talking about myself. However, for the purpose of my future workaway guests, I'll do my best to oblige with a description. I grew up in a military family and served for many years with the Army, raised with old school values of honor, integrity, loyalty, and duty. Although I've never been very keen on hierarchy and structure, I learned a lot from my upbringing about staying true to your self and values above all else. To me, life is about three things - 1) Becoming stronger. 2) Becoming smarter. 3) Sharing your strength and wisdom with others. To that end - I like to stay active, try new things, learn as much as possible and then build relationships with good people that have a similar mentality as I do. I think it's important to surround yourself with positive thinkers and a supportive community if you want to achieve your goals, and I think programs like workaway do a good job of building such communities. MY ORGANIZATION: I'm a language teacher (English/Russian), living in L'viv, Ukraine, and I both work in and run my own language learning program. Languages are my passion, and I take great pleasure in helping people improve their communication skills. I've been in the business for two years, and have learned and developed quite a bit. My greatest goal is to bring quality language instruction to the local community and those interested in investing in L'viv and Ukraine as a whole. I take my work very seriously and truly believe that language development and social learning is the key to integrating into a culture. For more information regarding our organization, please message me and I'll send you the necessary details.

We are nearing completion of our "Natural Build" family home on a six acre former croft surrounded by 1700 acres of stunning natural woodland belonging to a conservation body called The Woodland Trust. We are looking for volunteers with an interest in natural building to come and help us finish our house. We have a stairs to build, doors to make, a timber frame extension to construct and, of course, lots of routine work like gardening, grass-cutting, firewood chopping, cooking and helping around the house. We would particularly like to talk to a volunteer (or even better, a couple) who might be interested in a long-term placement (6 to 12 months) with the opportunity to learn about natural building and permaculture.

If you like the nature and the quiet life this could be your place. I speak spanish, english, some french and I would like to learn any language! Area: CampaniaWe are the only hostel in the extremely picturesque Amalfi Coast town of Positano. The hostel overlooks both the town center and the sea, and provides easy access to the surrounding mountains. It is also within easy reach of Pompei, Napoli, Vesuvius, Sorrento, and Capri. The focus of the hostel changes throughout the year, changing in order to best accommodate our guests. Generally, this means that, from the middle of May to middle of September, we primarily aim to make the hostel a lively, fun place. During the rest of the year, the main emphasis is on making the hostel feel homely. In addition to accommodation (which is very expensive in Positano), you will receive: > breakfast - anything off the Hostel's breakfast menu; > lunch - usually pasta, salad, pizza, etc.; > dinner - anything off the Hostel's dinner menu. Positano is the best place from which to explore the Amalfi Coast, visit the islands of Capri or Ischia, or take trips to see the archaeology of Pompeii or Ercerlano. We are also close to Sorrento and Napoli. Positano is the most exclusive part of the region, and the scenery is spectacular. For 2014, we are looking for workawayers to fill two roles, and to be able to alternate between those two roles. These roles will run from the middle of April to the end of September. We are looking for people who can commit to staying at least two months. Sorry, but we cannot accommodate couples.
