Area: Bahia, BrasilWe are building a village and a community deep in the Rain Forest of Bahia (but still not far from the beach!) The land is an amazing area of Atlantic rain forest with a huge river to swim in, waterfalls, thousands of fruit trees, many of them wild. We also have a cacao farm and produce organic chocolate! We have a communal dining hall, as well as individual houses, and the place is filled with visitors, friends, and volunteers who stay here and exchange helping with various projects (gardening, building, etc.) for living here for a while... We are near the vibrant and fun surf town of Itacare. Access to our land and community is either by boat or 4x4, so we will arrange to pick you up in Itacare when you arrive. We are trying to fill our lives with more music, so if you play music, sing, or dance do so here! Liz e eu, Sam, estamos vivendo no Brasil.

Area: ManitobaOur Farm is an exciting place where people of all ages can learn about sustainable organic agriculture, food processing and cooking, and living in community! My name is Jeff Shinduke, my friends call me Qazaq. I coordinate our volunteer programs here at Little Mountain Farm. I am very happily married with three amazing children (ages 12, 10, 7). We warmly invite you to come learn with us! We live together with our friends and family in community! We have several families and single people all living together year round. We'd love to have you join us! We have the most amazing life on the planet, and we'd love to share it with you. Our life together is based on love and forgiveness, following Messiah. We are located just outside the city of Winnipeg, the capitol of Manitoba. There is no public transport here, but we do have regular rides to and from the city. If you would like to look around in Winnipeg, "The Forks" (historical tourist site with shops) is a good starting point, and downtown is right next to it. There is also an impressive legislative building where the provincial government meets. Not far from the Forks is our own Store, Bakery and Tea House. You will want to spend some time there as well. It is a beautiful place, the inside being built with 100 year old barn wood. We have a day of rest every Saturday to enjoy our company and the farm. We generally do not travel on that day. Of course, if you have any questions, concerns or needs, feel free to ask. We are very interested in meeting whatever needs come up, so please let us know. We are here for you.
