Area: Apulia

A familiy run small holiday retreat , a restored ancient olive farm in Puglia. in the country but close to the sea (3 Kilometers) and the beautiful historic city of Ostuni (4Kilometers). A few years ago we built new comfortable guest accommodation where there was once animal stalls, created a pool and landscaped the gardens. We continue to pick the olives for our own use and have orange,lemon and almond trees. There are hens to provide eggs and a very small vegetable garden. This area of Southern Italy is a popular holiday destination for Italians, but is still unspoiled by International tourism. It has some wonderful ancient cities as well as some of the cleanest coastal waters in the Mediterranean.

Area: Languedoc Roussillon

We are two Germans of about 50 living an organic farm with 60 goats, 3 Camarguais horses, some chickens and cats, a big vegetable garden, homemade bread (most of our food is produced at the farm) and mountain prairies in the Pyrenees Orientales (capital: Perpignan) at 800 meters above sea-level. Remote place lived by 5 families. Christian is running a small kinesiology practice as well. About 5 hours of work per day, 2 days free per week, lodging in a trailer, bathroom and Internet access in our house nearby. We like to share our meals, that's the reason why we don't take vegans, sorry. Vegetarians are fine. From March to June we would like some help with the hay season and similar small outside tasks.

We are a family busiess, running an accommodation Lodge in the beautiful Nydia Bay, Pelorus Sounds situated at the top of the South Island, NZ. The business is especially busy between the months of October through to May but we would be happy to have "workaway-ers" staying with us at any time of the year. Our family consists of "Grandpa" - a wonderful 90 year-old who opted to live on a Bridgedecker boat instead of a Rest Home. Tom and Norma - husband and wife of 38 years - both 60 years of age ............... and myself (Duncan) - 35years - who, after travelling some of the world and working in my own building business, decided to have a change and run this family business in paradise! We are Marla and Fabrizio, an American and an Italian married couple, who run a small Bed and Breakfast, situated at 1,100 m, in the woods of the Cottian Alps. We are 6 km up from town and about 50 km from Turin city center. Although we have a lot of interests, the running and maintenance of our B&B, and all that entails, keeps us busy. We try to incorporate our interests into our work to keep things interesting. We have 2 cats that have adopted us. They are allowed in our private home, but not throughout the whole building as our guests could be allergic. Our whole home and public buildings and guest rooms are smoke free.We created an association, TEM, to promote ecological and sustainable tourism in our mountain community. We also promote local small businesses, artisans and organic producers through our cooking classes as well as homestyle meals with our guests.

Area: Prignitz

We are a small family with only one child (16 years) in the house, the two adult brothers are not anymore living here. We have a little farm with sheep, goats, ducks, geese, chickens, horses and a little garden. Our mother language is German. We have been learning Englisch and Russian in school, also our boy learns Russian and English in school. We have started to learn Norwegian. For that it would be nice to have an English, Russian or Norwegian speaking person..But any other Workawayers are welcome too :-)
