A few years ago I did Workaway for three years on and off. These months I am in the process of buying my own off grid property in central Portugal so I would love to stay at an off grid place to learn all the robes to prepare for it. Learn about water harvesting, compost toilet, growing vegetables in Portugal (I know how to grow, I am just more used to other climates).

I love working in nature, love the heat, don't mind sweating and being dirty. I do not need fancy bathrooms or showers.

Previously I worked with tourists in the desert of Jordan, picked olives, worked in a hotel/hostel in Amman, gave yoga classes in an Ayurvedic hotel in Germany, walked a dog and minded two cats in Istanbul and worked in a restaurant in Bodrum, Turkey. Helped taking care of two fabulous boys in South of France, taught English in Argentina and helped with an eco project in Romania.
In Romania we were off grid and I loved being part of nature. It was such a fabulous feeling to collect rainwater into a barrel and use it wash our clothes or shower after the sun had heated it, pouring it through a 2L plastic bottle with tiny holes in the tap. Also feeding the chickens, growing vegetables etc.
I am also a healer and have written seven books on self healing, five in Icelandic and two in English. I believe everything is energy and that all pain and all illness starts in the energy body, so healing it there can prevent them into going into the physical body.
It is important to live in the moment and find happiness in every little thing.

I would love to help with your project and have my summer vacation in August to do it.

Uwe is really a fabulous guy, so generous and visionary and it was so interesting to talk to him about the Saxon/German minority and the present and future of Romania. Planning first on staying for a month I liked it so much that I decided to stay for two months and not go to the other place I had planned.
