Area: Lower SaxonyWe are living in the countryside, a beautiful area in Germany with lots of hills, called the Weserbergland and near the "Ratcatcher" town Hamlin. We have three supermarkets and a few other facilities in the village, but there are no bars or any night life. It is great if you like nature! Our house is in the center of this small town, close to the church and is about 350 years old. We are still renovating parts of it, but we do have a fast internet connection (WiFi) which you are welcome to use. We have a nice garden attached where the children can play and we also want to start growing our own vegetables there. We are both working from home and. Colin is a teacher for historical martial arts, such as sword fighting, Sandra is doing projects for kids in the field of Living History, project weeks for schools and so on, together we are publishing books and DVDs. There is always something going on! Colin is English and Sandra is German, so we speak both languages at home and our boys do as well. We are very open people and have had quite a few guests and friends from all over the world in our house to stay and we are looking forward to you!
Area: Sunshine Coast, British ColumbiaOur Retreat is a 23 acre, water access only site of pristine wilderness on Nelson Island, in the mouth of Jervis Inlet on the Sunshine Coast. Our place includes a 3 acre private island and one of the only pebble beaches in the area with warm shallow swimming waters, deep water moorage and comfortable camping spots. We want to provide affordable, eco-friendly accommodations and a laid back vibe, for visitors to experience and the natural beauty and wilderness of the Sunshine Coast. We are completely off-grid and are trying to encourage sustainable eco-tourism. We use solar pv, rainwater collection and hope to be installing our wind mill this year. Over the past 18 months, we've constructed the main lodge, which is a 1,500 square foot wood framed Yurt with a communal kitchen / living area and some accommodations. We will also be erecting prospector tents, and a large tepee and regular 2/3 person tents to provide additional accommodations for paying guests and volunteers. With the help of our amazing volunteers, we've been able to get so much done, including cutting trails, composting toilets, drift wood stair ways and furniture, and the start of our veggie garden. We've still got lots to do before we open, including building decks and platforms, trails and access stairs, finishing carpentry work and we always need wood splitting for the fire. We're also building a website and have various art / gardening projects on the go. We are looking for volunteers who can stay for two weeks or longer, and a minimum of 25 hours a week in exchange for great food and lodging. We tend to have family style meals, and are keen to share cooking duties, so bring your "signature dish" with you.

LOOKS LIKE ENGLAND WILL HAVE A NICE SUNNY SUMMER THIS YEAR!! - THANKS FOR READING MY PROFILE ANY ENGLISH SPEAKING BLOKES OUT THERE WITH SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE IN PLUMBING WOULD BE MORE THAN WELCOME HERE!! ****************************************************** Hi - my name is Gillian Murton, I am single and 56 years old. I am a very friendly, positive outgoing person, I like meeting new people, and socialising and relaxing with a drink. I moved into a large 4 bedroom farmhouse in April 2013 with the intention of eventually turning it into a Bed & Breakfast - but at the moment it's a Building site. Having completed the insualtion of 6 out of 8 rooms, I would really appreciate some skilled assistance in plaster-boarding the downstairs rooms; insulating the lofts and building a floor in the loft; also painting the new plaster; numerous small carpentry and DIY jobs. ONE OR TWO would be brilliant for the current work in hand. My house is in the middle of beautiful green English countryside, 4 miles from the South Coast of England in the county of East Sussex. The house is on a quiet country lane on the edge of a beef farm, with sheep in the next field and chickens next door. I have a tabby cat called Chloe. You will be near the seaside towns of Hastings, Bexhill and Battle, and there are rail links to London, but there is NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT - trains or buses - within walking distance of my house. I am happy to drive you to and from the station, and for trips at the weekend, but not every day. I have good access to internet. It is a beautiful and quiet place to stay.
Area: OlymposOur Bar, established in 2005, is a quirky and fun bar located on the top level of the main building in our Treehouses in Olympos. It is run by a friendly and hospitable team of Turks. It opens from 9am to Midnight every day. It is a shady refuge during the day which turns into a lively party atmosphere at night. The Treehouses, where volunteers will be staying, is a 15-20 minute walk to the beautiful Olympos beach. There is a small entrance fee (5TL) to access the beach as people pass through the heritage listed ruins of the ancient Lycian pirate city.
