Area: MoncarapachoOur project began back in September 2010 and since then we have hosted over 450 volunteers from all over the world. Some stayed for a couple of weeks, some a month and a lot for much longer. Many have returned for second and third visits and ALL have played a vital role in helping us create this wonderful holiday complex for Special Needs and Disabled Children and their families. Now well into 2014 we are now planning our final push to get the complex finished and are always looking for volunteers to help. We aim to be finished by August, so dont have much time left now but still have to do a lot of work and will require volunteers who can assist with: Basic Electrics, Basic Plumbing, Carpentry, Paving, Tiling, Building, Painting, Garden and Animal care and willing labourers. We are also interested in any talented Mural Artists who can add a bit of fun to some of the blank walls we have. We are a UK based charity and are working on a budget so cannot afford time wasters or people looking for a lazy holiday so PLEASE only serious workawayers please apply. Our accommodation is clean and tidy and the food is good. We are a friendly bunch and like to keep a happy atmosphere on site. Thanks for reading our profile and we look forward to meeting you soon.
Area: MadeiraWe're currently searching for a volunteer for these dates: - September 21 - October 21 Hi everyone! We're Philippe and Anna. Since June 2013 we're running the first hostel on our beautiful island, 20 minutes walking from Funchal center. At least once a week we have some events like social games or dinners. The minimum term for a volunteer is 20 days (it's the minimum time you can see everything around, sharing your time with us)
