Area: Toowoomba , QueenslandWe are a busy young family with 3 busy boys ages 11, 9 & 3 who love the outdoors. We live 20 minutes north of Toowoomba in a beautiful rural area and have 3 horses, chooks and a dog. There is plenty of wildlife at our doorstep of wallabies, koalas and birds. Mum and Dad run an earthmoving business from home so we don’t get the time to get everything done we want around the house or property. If you are a self motivated person who loves children and animals we would love for you to come and help out . There is plenty to do either inside the home, helping with the children, outside in the garden or helping with look after the horses and all the animals.
Area: MarcheWe are husband and wife, young couple, looking for someone from Germany or Austria who can talk to us in German. Although our level of German is quite low, we are particularly interested in doing conversation and work on texts about classical music and literature. In exchange we offer a pleasant stay in Italy. We love music, cinema, theatre, literature, philosophy, site-seeing... anything cultural. We also love nature, especially hiking in the mountains or spending time by the sea.
Area: OregonWe are a family of 4 (including 2 adult children) living in Portland, Oregon in an 1884 Victorian house that we restored ourselves. We've taken on a new challenge saving and restoring an 1890 Victorian cottage. We love Portland and the Pacific Northwest and try to enjoy it all - the people, the places, the events. We absolutely love living here. Among the things we like to do are hiking, cycling (short to century), canoeing, fly fishing, going to festivals in big and little towns, taking in movies and plays, touring gardens, hanging out in the hammock, gardening, being part of the distilled spirits scene. And, of course, we like old house restoration. We also love to travel and to meet people from around the world. In the last 3 years we've hosted over 80 people. We've had such a good time with all these surfers. A number of surfers have told us about their experiences with Workaway. We decided that being a Workaway host would be another good way of opening up our home and connecting with other travelers in an even deeper way. So, here we are as new to Workaway.
