I spent about three months here during the winter season. This journey has given me many adventures and experiences I will take with me for life. It has allowed me to see many new places and meet many wonderful people, for which I'm incredibly grateful. Caroline and the family welcomed me with open arms and lots of love. They went out of their way to make my stay the best possible, and I couldn't thank them enough. Getting to know them has been lovely, and I almost feel like they have become my second family. I really enjoyed spending time with them, and not least with Olivia. In addition, Caroline has been incredibly good at connecting me with others, leading to me making friends for life. Not least, I have been able to ski a lot, almost every day, if I wanted to. In addition, they have a very good climbing facility in Verbier. Apart from that, I have spent a lot of time on trips with the dog either on foot or by bike in beautiful Swiss alp scenery (Brownie is just the best dog in the world, and I might have to bring him home in my suitcase). They also brought me along for some of their trips, allowing me to see a lot of other skiing facilities. In summary, this has been an adventure I will never forget, and it has helped to shape the way forward in my life. Anyone fond of mountains, walks, skiing, and dogs can expect a wonderful stay with wonderful people.

Great stay with Sheryl and Andrew! I felt like it was a true kiwi farming experience. I learned so much like how to drive a motorbike and the best way to fertilize the garden. Went for nice walks on the farm and at local beaches and enjoyed lots of good conversation and Sheryl's baking! thank you Sheryl and Andrew for treating me like family and being so welcoming! I hope to visit again!

No adjectives can best describe how wonderful, hardworking friendly and committed Ben was. During his stay ,Ben showed a lot of positive energy and was always there to help.Everyone at the school loved him and everyone wished he had stayed longer .I really recommend Ben to any host looking for hard working and kindhearted volunteers and I will always cherish the hope to host him again and again

This was our first Workaway experience, and an Amazing one! The people of Umoja Maono were extremely welcoming and loving. We felt home from the first day till our last. The project itself is beautifull and we learned a lot about living in community and self-sustainability. Umoja Maono is a worldwide network Build of beautifull people who became one big family. What we've seen these people do in our short period of time with them, was extrordinary. A big thanks for taking us in your family to management team, the mama's, the teachers, the farmers And everywhone else from La Boma Village! We also send our love to Alex, who is responsible for the volunteers experience, and became our very good friend! we will be back and can only recommend to go support this project.

I spent two weeks at Nico’s place and I would have loved to stay longer. Even though the weather wasn’t really good, we did a lot of different things: cooking, cutting wood, weeding, but my favorite part was the greenhouse construction. We also did a lot of fun activities during our free time, such as playing board games and hiking. The place is really beautiful and Nico is a great human being. He has a great sense of humor, is really kind and considerate. He was also really accommodating because I was working a little bit from there. I’d love to come back!

If you stay with Mary and Sean, you are guaranteed a good time! They are such nice and welcoming people that make you feel right at home! They live on a beautiful property with lovely animals. The work is either farm or inside work, the hours are clear and give you a lot of free time to explore the nice area. There are many beautiful beaches to reach with the bike (I recommend Point Richie :)), but they're also very happy to help you getting to places! The food is amazing, various and healthy food everyday (+ desert :)). You would be expecting good talks, interesting stories, and a funny, wonderful time with them together. I really miss them and every little detail of my stay. They make an incredible effort to make your stay as perfect as possible, so I couldn't recommend staying with them enough!!!

De très bons moments passés avec Yi-Qi. Il aime beaucoup cuisiner et nous partage ses connaissances de la cuisine de Taiwan. Nous avons beaucoup discuté de cuisine et rigolé sur les saveurs et le mystérieux : "Oumami". Yi-qi veut apprendre la cuisine française et il pose plein de questions. Il a été d'une grande aide dans les travaux du jardin.

Susi is a really intelligent and sensitive girl, and we've been really happy to host her at our community. It was really surprising to see how interested she is in philosophy and spirituality. She appreciated the early morning rituals in the temple, as well as the vegetarian food that we prepare, called prasadam. From the practical point of view also Susi nicely complete all her task and she helped us so much! We definitely suggest everyone to host her :-)

This was my first workaway experience and I really loved it! I was going to stay here for two and half weeks, but ended up staying 1 month! Javier was so nice and always willing to help me and other volunteers. It was easy to get along with the other volunteers and guests as well. I always felt here as my home. Thank you!

we spent unforgettable days with Capucine. She immediately connected with the children and with us. She was helpful, patient and full of ideas and enthusiasm. She is a girl full of interests with whom it is very pleasant to chat. She speaks Italian very well and has a great sense of humor, we really had fun with her. We consider her part of our family. if we could leave more than five stars we would.

I stayed at Catherina and Hans for two weeks. My time there was great! I got to know a lot about olive trees and their lifestyle on the Italian countryside. We had wonderful food and there was also plenty of time to explore the area.

Solinda is such a special soul. Almost ahead of her age. She brought such a great calm wibe to our home and did all the tasks well. We wish her all the best and can definitely recommend her to anyone.

Je suis restée avec Delphine et Sébastien pendant un mois à la fin de l’hiver. C’était ma première expérience de workaway au Canada et j’ai adoré ça ! Ils sont tous les deux très gentils, bienveillants et attentionnés. Dès le départ, ils ont tenu à ce que je me sente chez moi et c’est exactement le sentiment que j’ai eu. La maison est d’ailleurs très confortable : j’avais une chambre et une salle de bain pour moi, et il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour s’occuper au besoin : une salle avec un vidéo projecteur pour regarder des films, une bibliothèque pleine de livres de toutes sortes, un jacuzzi, une piscine pour l’été, ainsi que deux chiens adorables à câliner. Il y a aussi des randonnées à faire dans les environs et Delphine et Sébastien prêtent leur voiture pour aller faire des excursions s’ils n’en ont pas besoin. J’ai pu emprunter la voiture à plusieurs reprises pour aller voir des amis à Québec le week-end, en payant bien sûr mon essence. Je tiens aussi à souligner la qualité de l’alimentation. Il y a toujours une belle variété de fruits et légumes disponibles et les plats sont souvent sains et bons, même si on aimait se faire plaisir avec des pizzas ou autre de temps en temps, souvent devant une série Netflix dans la salle de projection. Il y a aussi toujours des snacks à dispositions si besoin et de bons desserts. Delphine et Sébastien sont très inspirants par leur parcours et la vie qu’ils se sont créée. J’étais très reconnaissante de les avoir comme modèles pendant mon séjour chez eux. Merci encore à vous deux pour ces quatre semaines, et j’espère à bientôt lorsque je serai de retour dans l’Est du Canada !

Lisa was a pleasure to host. No trouble at all. A hard worker would have her again any time.

Dylan and Maria were a pleasure to host. They were courteous engaging and helped so much around the place. They ended up staying for six weeks and were able to complete a major project of painting our shed. They were also great with the kids and and looked after our animals as well. Not to mention Dylan did a huge amount of the cooking which was greatly appreciated. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to any other hosts.

I had a great week at Lorena and Jonathan's home ! It was a very good moment 😍 Very nice, very attentive, very good food, I felt like a member of the family and I also met their daughter who was lovely ! The work was nice and not to hard, courage with the weeding haha Thank you again 🫶🏽

Considering that David was new to the " village life " and living in a small aviary park all went very well. Unfortunately there are always a lot of tedious jobs at a rural place like ours. Weeding gras ,cutting overgrowth / bamboo and constant cleaning are a few of them. David mastered that and never complained. David is a sincere, honest character and can be relied on. All in All a pleasant experience !

It was a pleasure to share these few days with Mike (and Billy!), Mike is really accommodating, friendly, and has the patience to explain many things and shows us some Whangarei great attractions or places! We shared very good moments and discussions around good meals, unfortunately I couldn't stay as long as I wanted to but it was a really pleasant exchange. His project is very interesting and makes you want to get fully involved!
