Area: Poitou CharentesHere we live close to nature for to find a new connection with art. The art of to live and creating beauty in all levels. Here there is a biological farm. And big ateliers for painting, dancing, making music. Even digital art. The food is vegetarian and as much straight out the garden. We live in an dynamique meditative way. We do not like to take alcohol, tabac or any drugs. I am a flemish artist that likes to start all kind of art from the dansyoga presence.

Area: AndaluciaCome and help out at my dream B&B in southern Spain. A few years ago I gave up a stressful job as a world music promoter in London and went travelling. In Andalucia I stumbled on a ruined house in the Alpujarras - the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains just south of Granada. I restored the house and garden and created my Casa - a B&B with accommodation for 16 people. As well as looking after guests, friends and I also run for cooking and writing courses and walking holidays. People love coming to the house because the area is so beautiful, and very peaceful. I live in one part of the house, and staying here feels like coming to a private house rather than a hotel. Things I enjoy: I have two cats and In 2011 I created an organic vegetable garden next door to the house. I love walking, horse riding, swimming, reading, good food, meeting new people and spending time with friends. Please note: I only have space for one volunteer at a time, so I'm sorry but no couples or friends.
Area: NormandyBeautiful chateau guest house specialising in all inclusive family holidays. Set in idyllic country location. Near all the major tourist sights - Mont St Michel, Bayeux tapestry, D Day beaches. During February and March I am looking for helpers to cut down trees and do some serious gardening work and painting. Looking for helpers in Spring but have everyone I need for July and August. During spring (March and April) I tend to look for a band of helpers to get the house and grounds ready for the season. Lots of spring cleaning, painting and gardening (light and heavy work, building works, concreting etc. Happy to take up to six helpers during this period and varied skills are welcome. Builders of all types are particularly welcome in March and April. During May and June I am after couples (can be two friends travelling together) to help with day to day running of the guest house. Happy to take people for one or two weeks during this period. From the beginning of July I am after a couple to stay eight weeks. Would be a great help if at least one of you was good with children, as duties would include some child care most days. Other duties include help with cooking, breakfasts, cleaning rooms, gardening, child care etc Please note I usually only take couples or friends travelling together as I find this works best for everyone at the chateau guesthouse, which is in the middle of the countryside. It is a great help if you are over 25 and can drive as then you can borrow my mini bus on your days off. However, builders or handy diy-ers or seamstresses are often welcome as solo travellers, especially if I have other helpers already here. We are in the countryside but close to all the top tourist sights in Normandy. It is a big benefit if you have a car or motorbike as there is no public transport. However, almost all of our volunteers have not had transport and they have all enjoyed themselves. I can often drop you off at a railway station in the morning and pick you up later after a day exploring. We also have bikes you can use. We are 3km from a village and 10km from the city of Coutances. The beach is 12km. Our nearest railway station is in the cathedral city of Coutances, which is ten minutes away. Lots of good food provided plus wine and beer with dinner. Accommodation varies depending on the time of year. Sometimes it is a rather plush room in the main chateau. Other times it is in a cottage in the grounds, but during July and August it can be a small caravan in the grounds. The caravan has its own kitchen, toilet and shower. Bigger groups during the spring share a well appointed two bedroomed and two bathroomed cottage with full kitchen, dining room and lounge . We can have intensely busy periods followed by times with no clients, so your work pattern would not be set in stone. However, you can often have every afternoon off or you can group a couple of free days together so you can go exploring.
