We are a couple in our fifties and our children have all left home. We live with our two cats, Mia and Albert. We love music of any sort, almost, and love entertaining. We live on a small property of only 2.5 acres and are about 15 mins to the nearest town, Dayboro. and about an hour or so north west of Brisbane, Queensland. There are a couple of wineries close by and restaurant within minutes. State forest and rainforest are only 6 mins drive away. We love where we live and even though we don't have any farm animals we often enjoy talking to our neighbours cows. Often in the mornings and late afternoon we get visits from local wildlife. Wallabies, possums and many species of very colourful parrots. We bought our place about 6 years ago with the view of getting it back to the wonderful gardens and place it once was. We now find it difficult to keep it all under control because we seem to be busy with friends and family or sometimes just don't get down to it. Our place is not an old house and does not have any history but we have renovated inside and made it quite comfortable. Many years ago someone made many pathways and gardens which then were overgrown. We did discover some but there is so much more yet to find. We own a small earthmoving contraption and have ride on mover and petrol whipper snipper. Peter has a business and Susie looks after the house. Peter loves cars and has a bit of a collection. We both love to travel and love meeting new people from all over the world and would love to welcome overseas or local guests in exchange for help. We never seem to find enough time for our garden and would love to offer food and board for some help in taming our overgrown garden and pond. What we mostly would like is to meet people and teach each other about our county and language and of course make new friends. Either an individual or a couple would be welcome.

We currently manage a Beach front holiday resort in the beautiful subtropical village of Cotton Tree, Maroochydore, "the heart of the Sunshine Coast" in Queensland Australia. See picture showing our natural & quiet beachside location also directly opposite a park and short beach walk to river system. This is a a perfect location for learning to surf, getting fit, whale/dolphin/turtle watching, snorkling, practicing yoga/meditation, studying/writing a e-book etc. Our grounds have 2 pools (one heated all year round), spa, sauna and there is also body boards, surfboards, pushbikes, canoe, and internet available for use in your own time. Our location is directly on the beach offering safe patrolled and private swimming/sunbathing and good surf locations. We are also walking distance to village shops, library, community organic/permaculture food gardens, river, sport fields (tennis, football, soccer, bouwls) surf shops, cafes, bars, music club etc. Other local attractions include the world famous and highly reccomended Australia Zoo, Eumundi markets (Australias lrgest market) underwater world, sky diving, kite surfing & Queenslands biggest health food store & the worlds biggest Permaculture club. The surrounding area boasts a range of National Parks and walking tracks /water falls including Noosa, Mooloolabah and the forested hinterland. For longer term stays for those that enjoy getting to know an area really well (or even making this your long term to permanent home) we can provide o/night accommodation for days off and work exchange for extended stays in Noosa Hinterland and Noosa as part of grass roots alternative share property project we are also involved in. We have 2 young children (3 & 7 YO) and a teenager who visits on weekends so it is essential you like children and if you were able to help with stimulating activities for children, music dance games/gardening with them this would be a fantastic help. We are vegetarian and eat eggs, milk and cheese. Managing this beach side accommodation is a recent change in lifestyle for us allowing us to be together with our young children after 15 years working as naturtal health therapists with extensive knowledge and practical experince of yoga, speech pathology, metaphysics, ayurveda, holistic counselling, massage, organic gardening, permaculture, herbs, nutrition, phylosophy etc. At the moment our main job is running the beach accommodation resort & raising children. We are fairly new to this job and to work away and welcome the learning and daily growth. What really excites us (when there is time) and what we would really love is help working on utilising our above experince, skills & training to put together integrated health, education and wellbeing retreats utilising the beachside accommodation to host private customised wellbeing retreats, courses & packages specialising in personal transformation, integrated living, permaculture & emotional wellbeing. To this end we welcome anyone with skills or interest in permaculture, organic gardening, launching & marketing new business, internet marketing, particuarly blogging vidio production permaculture etc. If you enjoy the beach then this is a great place to come. The property is located 60km South of Brisbane and 20km West of the Gold Coast on the upper North slope of Mt Tamborine, 320m above sea level. We are surrounded by National Parks and abundant wildlife. The property is 8.35Ha with a sub-tropical climate and has great country views to the North up to 120km on a clear day. We also have a tennis court, an outdoor cobb pizza oven, chooks/geese, two dalmatian dogs, a vegetable garden and about 300 fruit trees. Work outside is a major part of what we do so expect to be outside on a rural property as part of the experience. The design of the property has been along Permaculture principles. This includes rainwater collection, composting waste disposal, integration of animals and gardens, integrated pest management and the use of limited chemicals is done in a sustainable manner. The house is designed and built by ourselves. It is large and modern and has been constructed using high mass walls and floors, good insulation in the roof, walls and double glazing throughout. Careful attention has been paid to window shading to minimise solar gain in summer and allow some heating in Winter. We transport our helpers on their day off to Tamborine mountain (a major tourist attraction) or the nearest transport centre so that they can expore the area. Wireless and hard wire internet is made available to all our helpers. We pick up our helpers from the Beenleigh Bus Transit Centre, under the big roof of the centre. This is in Beenleigh, approximately 25km South of Brisbane and is next to the Beenleigh Train station. We love lamb roasts, cuisine from different lands and good wine. We are a 4000ha family farm growing grain crops and raising sheep 1 hour west of Esperance and 7 hours SE of Perth. We have grown up children who work away from the farm most of the time. We enjoy having people to stay on our farm and having them join in with us in daily farm life.

My partner and I run a small 42ha farm near Coffs Harbour on the beautiful North coast of NSW. We grow a variety of vegetables, fruit and Macadamia nuts. Our farm was very run down and we are in the process of restoring it along with renovating the house (almost finished) and gardens. We are not registered as organic however we use bio-diverse and eco-friendly systems to grow our produce.
