We are Dalila (French), Pete (English), Emilie our 18 months old daughter and Bart, our ginger cat. We have spent the last 2 years renovating the interior, now starting work on the gardens, outbuildings and grounds. We have already established a potager of 9 raised beds, composting, woodshed, and solar panels.

We are a British couple ( three grown up chidlren) who live 6 months in France and 6 months in California. Our place in France is in the heart of an absolutely beautiful medieval village approx 4 kms from the Medierranean. We bought the house 3 years ago and we have been renovating the grounds which contain a large old established garden which was very neglected when we bought it. There is always a lot of work to do in the garden and we need help from volunteers with some experience of gardening. There are many lovely beaches within a few kms for swimming and sunbathing.

I am an English sculptress looking to start a gallery with other artists out here. I need duplicates of my work. I live in a big, restored, stone villa in Tuscany, part of which is used for summer rental, and look after my very elderly mother. This is a beautiful, rural area which offers escape from the pressures of modern life. It is central and well-placed for trips to famous historic centres, but use of public transport is risky. You need to have special skills or be Italian to master the bus timetable. Apart from a sculpture technician it is a good workaway situation for retired couples or a self -sufficient, handy man -type person from Europe, travelling by car. It is really not a comfortable place for student backpackers. The restoration of the farm buildings and the making of a garden on a steep slope, has been a 20 yr project, so , while there is still work to do, the maintenance is piling up. During the winter months it is good to have helpful friends around with plenty of interests and skills to share. A retired architect couple stayed here from Jan to June 2009 and we had a great exchange. They liked the area so much that they are now working to move here so are unavailable for 2010.

We are a three member young family, we have a one and half year old little baby. We live in Andalucia, south of spain, in a little village called Caños de Meca, its situated in the southest part of Spain by the Atlantic ocean, the nearest city is Cadiz, 2 hours drive to Seville and Malaga. There are lots of interesting things in this area, big and natural sand beaches, incredible sunsets, and super good quality food.

Garp in ottoman means west and we are situated on a cape on the most western part of Asia.Garp has been a vision between two friends (founder)Murat Koray and(co-founder) Yannis Rappas an Australian born Greek,there ambition is into creating a tranquil and harmonious community a self sufficient eco-village a small hideway,spiritual haven on the Aegean coast of turkey 2km away from Babakale a small fishing village and 500klm from Istanbul, with a 300meter private beach access only by boat or atv and by Monica our donkey we have houseboats and three yuruk tents and a 300sq meter stone house.Wind turbines for electricity as we are cut off the grid,organic veggie gardens.There are many ancient sites to visit around the region Troya-Assos-alexandria troya etc
