    Description

I am German and have lived in Italy for over 25 years together with my Italian Husband. We live near an old village in the countryside, 70 km from Rome, with three cats inside. I am a sculptor, painter, and printmaker, and a part-time art teacher at an American University in Rome. My husband teaches visual improvement in Italy and in Spain. We live in a beautiful countryside called Sabina, where many other foreigners live. I work mainly at home or in Rome one day a week, and my husband often works elsewhere on weekends. We also do yoga, and I go on horseback. We are not strictly vegetarian, but we try to eat healthy and a little meat. But adapt to our guests' wishes. We would like some help in the garden and with other small projects around and inside the house, such as painting a shed or other light maintenance. If someone is interested in Art or painting, you can do that in your free time, and I can help and give you space. Last year, we didn't have workaways because we were out a lot. But this year we wanted to start again, also because it is fun, and we have already made a lot of friends with people who stayed with us.

We have lived in the area for a long time, and we can tell a lot about the Italian way of life. If someone is interested in art, you can also learn from me or work a bit on your own in your free time. If there are possibilities, you will also get to know our friends in the area.

    Accommodation

We have a very nice room for the person in our house, with access to a bathroom for the guests. Kitchen and living room are separated so there is enough space for everybody if you don't want to stay in your room. In the whole house, we have internet. If you came in two you have this room together.

Who needs a driving license to get around more easily? We have two cars, so you could use one for little trips. Even better if our guests have their own car, but it is also o.k without. We prefer two people if you can stay together in one room. We are both rather busy, so we don't have much time to bring you around; it is more fun to be in two. Of course, we can give you any possible advise what to see. The person who comes would like to stay in the countryside. It can happen, but only on some nights when the person stays on their own in the house. It should not be a problem; we live in a very safe area.
