Welcome All Native English Speakers: Make a Difference & Teach in a Beautiful Setting

Come and inspire young minds at a beautiful Tibetan Monetary, located in the scenic hills of Mirik, Darjeeling.
You can enjoy being in the heart of nature surrounded by lakes, forests and enchanting views as well as easily adventure to Nepal, Siliguri, Sikkim & Darjeeling nearby.
The school is dedicated to providing genuine care to underprivileged children in the village, who would not normally have access to a quality education. You will have the opportunity to make a difference to the way these children learn with your valuable English speaking skills.
Our volunteers have the opportunity to enhance their teaching expertise with hands-on classroom experience, should their passion be in teaching. A certificate can be given for those looking to add this valuable experience to their CV.
The School has been established in the memory of the second Kyabje Bokar Dorje Chang. The school was initially born through the vision of Khenchen Lodoe Dhonyoe Rinpoche. Khen Rinpoche envisioned the school not only for the small monks of the Monastery but also for the local children whose parents are not able to send them to other schools. It is an institute for free education. It does not charge the students a fee of any kind. The school is mainly dedicated to the well-being of the poorer section of society. The school is under the aegis of a Charitable Trust. All the school properties belong to the Trust and no individual has any claim to the school property. All the expenditures of the school are paid by the Trust.
