We eat generally healthy, mostly Organic food and have a small vegetables garden and are working on expanding it. Waiheke Island is gorgeous place with a population around 8000 people. It's well known for its beautiful beaches, walking tracks, vineyards, restaurants and the Art & music community. We are 35min boat ride from downtown Auckland - NZD$32.00 return fare.
Area: The high countryside of Northern Tuscany offers a wonderful scenary all year round and farouble climatic condition for outdoor living from late April to mid-October. The area has a healthy climate, especially at the height of summer, when a sultry heat hangs over the plain. It offers a variety of tracks to hikers, most maintained by the Italian Alpine Club. It is well-known for a local sheep breed: close encounters with flocks of sheep are very common near the house. Also with horses, goats and cows. Snowfalls start generally in December and can continue until late March, though sporadically. Greenness reaches the tops, at 1.600m above sea level, in the second half of May.OCTOBER 2014: HELP NEEDED URGENTLY TO CHOP/SAW A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF FIREWOOD NB: Single travellers, over 21, 4-8 weeks preferred. This is a quiet, secluded spot with limited social interaction: make sure it fits your aspirations as a workawayer before inquiring or accepting an invitation. Voice contact details appreciated. *** My name is Paolo. I'm a 55 yo musician and vocal coach for singers/theatre actors. After spending many years in a big city, I live now a back-to-nature life with my dog Tex in the mild, green mountains of northern Tuscany (they rather look like high hills), 25km / 15 miles away from the Mediterranean Sea. The house stands on a ridge, 1.200m above sea level, surrounded by pastures and woods as far as the eye can see. The sea is visible in the distance by clear days. I'm a manager and host, with a seven-year experience in hosting students and low-budget travelers from four continents and fifteen different countries, thanks to workaway.info and other platforms. I'd be glad to welcome you and make you feel at home.

Area: LazioCiao, we're an Aussie family living in Italy providing our two boys with a bilingual education. I've established a company here in Italy where I promote all things Australian, including working with and supporting Italians wanting to relocate to Australia. I have multiple projects on the go at once all revolving around Australia and am looking for a self-starting, business minded person who wants to experience life in a small Italian medieval village, learn the language and live la dolce vita! My husband, also an Aussie, works part-time for a tour company during the summer tourist season and supports me with my social media and website management. Our two boys (Hamish 16 and Dane 11) are fluent in Italian and English and love their school and life in a town with a castle! We're looking for someone to spend a minimum of 3 months with us so as not to disrupt our routine too much. Duties will include cooking, cleaning, helping our boys with homework and also working with me in the business providing website and social media support. Native English speaker with some exposure to Italian or Italian culture preferred. You'll have your afternoons and weekends free to roam around our beautiful area of Tuscia. Soriano has great public transport links with Orte Termini only 40 minutes by bus where you can catch trains to all major cities in Italy. We're looking for someone to start with us in early November so please get in touch if you're interested.
Area: Nelson & BaysHi, My partner Dean and me live in a very pretty part of South Island of New Zealand and are pretty busy people at the same time. We are looking for volunteers to help us maintain our garden and lawns and give a hand around the house. In the summer we are planning to do a few more jobs on our cottage (renovating and repainting the windows, painting walls outside, installing our old cast-iron bathtub as a outdoor hot-tub just to mention some) that's why DIY skills are much preferred. If you feel like getting your hands dirty, you are most welcome to contact us. We love good food, music and company, so you will be expected to share cooking meals too as a part of cultural exchange. Own transport is an advantage as public transport is very limited in rural NZ. Last thing, we have two cats at home, Nutmeg and India, lovely creatures :)
