Área: Lower SaxonyWe (couple with three boys - 22, 20, 12 - and dog) are living on the country side in a small farmer community for seven years now. We bought an old farmhouse and are still renovating part of it. We are living almost self sustained (regarding meat, veggies, electricity and some other stuff) by having a greenhouse, big garden, poultry, sheep, pigs, rabbits and bees. We make wine, brew our own beer, make cheese and are interested in a lot of other old handcrafts. We have a carpenters and a metal workshop in one of our barns. A lot of space is available for living and working. We are both working part time self employed in the internet business. The older boys are at University and not at home very often. During most of the year we need help in the house, with the animals and in the garden. From December to mid of March we normally do not host. We also like to share our knowledge about the things we do here (e.g. organic farming, self sustainability). Last projects we were working on: - building a Pizza clay oven - building an aquaponic system.
Área: North Island*** We are not accepting "Workawayers" until the end of January/beginning February 2014 *** Thank you! Welcome to Karins NEW Garden Villa - well known in Germany as "Frühstückspension" - now a cosy comfortable B&B/Homestay right in the heart of Devonport and only 12 minutes by ferry from Downtown Auckland and the surrounding islands (Waiheke, Tiri Tiri, etc.). Inside our homely villa flows to a peaceful garden with a huge tropical palm tree, under which you can enjoy your breakfasts. The historic centre of Devonport is just around the corner from our home. The "seaside village" is very popular with international travellers for its cafes, shops, restaurants, art galleries and beaches. Yoga, Massage and Fitness centre are all on our doorstep. There are also lovely walks to the extinct volcanoes (North Head and Mount Victoria). Stroll through the parks and along Marine Parade to the ferry for the pleasant trip to the city.
Área: LeinsterHi Everyone -we now have a space from now until just before Christmas. The duties include general help with our christmas festivities including selling christmas trees and helping in the Tearoom. So if this sounds like something would be interested in, then get in touch! We are a family owned historic castle about 60 miles from Dublin. We are currently working on a number of exciting restoration projects, including restoring our formal gardens and pleasure grounds. We are open to the public during the summer months and at other selected times throughout the year. You should be an enthusiastic and hardworking person who likes learning new skills and meeting people.
Área: KolonakiTo leave the world a better place; that is the sign of a successful person. I am a photographer working on my own projects in Athens, Greece. I have a studio in Kolonaki, the Chic center of Athens for Art + Design. Looking for upbeat, positive people who are genuinely interested working *here* not planning their world tour and have no respect for other peoples privacy ! The studio is a no smoking environment. Gossiping is not rewarded here and can be a reason for you to be asked to leave. You have to be able to manage your own space, it is not a hotel, here. You are required to do your own cooking, clean up after yourself, do your sheets and laundry by yourself. There is no maid service. I offer a lot in terms of hospitality, so I expect real work from you. The work is four hours a day. Cooking and cleaning up is on your time. My family is working in the States and I am taking care of the family property here in Athens and I need your help...
Área: Midi PyreneesMy name is Mills and I live in the Haute Pyrenees with my beautiful son. I am looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help me maintain and develop my smallholding, so it can become as ecological and self-sufficient as possible. My ultimate goal is to set up an eco-business from home. I keep an array of animals that all serve a purpose and I am actively trying to produce as much organic fruit and vegetables as possible. I always have a lot of different projects that I need help with, involving anything from forestry, gardening, and animal care to building work. All this can be quite demanding, especially when you have a lively two-and-a-half year old on your hands! We live in a traditional rustic farmhouse just outside of a small Pyrenean village. I have over 13 acres (5.3Ha) of undulating land with beautiful views across the valley and a forest that is truly magical, especially when the wild flowers are blossoming. Surrounded by small farms, rural life still dominates here, along with thriving local markets. We are situated a 1.5 hour train journey south west of Toulouse: about 20 minutes drive from the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains, and the Spanish border is also only an hour away.
