    Description

My sleddogs are my lifestyle and my family :D .
The location of this property is perfect for us, due to the majestic suroundings and the proximity not only to the main norwegian airport, but also to other main towns around.

The weather is awesome the most of the time, sun is shinning and the land is covered on snow from almost late October to thebeggining of May. During the winter, we drive sleds, and after spring comes, we drive a Quad/Fourwheeler. The cold is dry and I havent met anyone who has been freezing here due to that :D

The house is under renovation, but our life is anyway comfortable! We have running water, hot shower and bathroom! Electricity and heaters around the house, so no, you will not live in a lost cabin in the middle of the woods. You will have your own room with heating. The internet is limited right now, but we will agree about it :D
Lillehammer is 45 min. from here and 3 hours away from Oslo airport by car.

We do not follow any A4 schedule, and I am not going to impose any task. Common sense is the key and good communication.

I just moved here, eventhough still some furniture I need to still get here from the South.

For the moment I live together with my sleddogs and my cat, but by spring, I will need to start an autosustainable process, both including a bit of farming and create a greenhouse. We have 50.000m2 to enjoy. I have never been a farmer before, so I will need lots of learning. Maybe from you?

Hi from the fjords in Norway :) *I will constantly update the profile depending on how things will develope here.

I have been asked many times about the kind of work that needs to be done here and some workawayers are also afraid due to negative previous experiences. Sorry to be straight but we do not want "slaves" here ;)

I love my dogs and I love teaching other people about them. The main reason I need you, is because I cannot do everything by myself. I need to train these amazing creatures to be well behaved, social, and for that, they need many hours of human contact. That is going to be your main task. Learn to raise sleddogs. Go on walks with them, pet them. I really appreciate when workawayers come and see how I do my daily tasks even if not asked. It showes me that they are interested. And thats the ones I give my priority.
In addition and if I am lucky, I would love to host someone who can electricity! I gotta change the distribution in order to optimize ressources!

Another interesting point: I cooperate with a mountain resort who is often in need of labor and I always recommend my workawayers. That means that you could earn some money working during the weekends ;) I do not promise you a job. I will adapt to your working schedule if you get some hours at the hotel :)

A bit more detailed description of the profile whom could fit here :)

    PROFILE/SKILLS NEEDED

Dog Handler: I wish I could find someone who would like to spend the season. I will train you and you will even be able to participate on competitions. We mush all year around. (MAIN PRIORITY). That's why we have no schedules. We depend on the dogs and on the opportunities that mother nature offers for training.

Fysiotherapeut? I just got diagnosed a muscular disease, and I need lots of advice. I want to train dogs until I get old :D !!! Pilates, Yoga, meditation, reiki, stretching... Maybe you can teach me something I could do here?

Handy people: Help with electricity, building, repair, carpentry, painting walls, floors, collecting wood, cleaning, small project things. If I can do it, you can do it :D

No matter which profile suits you better, I might ask you to help around. We live under the same roof, we share responsabilities like cleaning, cooking, providing help with wood...
You must also feel confident driving a car. We live in the middle of the woods. We need to drive to buy supplies. And if you can drive a trailer, even better. The trailer can be driven with the B drivers license. Is a small one under 750kg.

I am very easy going and open mind. We will respect each other :) and therefore I also hope you respect the other workawayers. As a responsible of the house, I will not accept childish behaviour or negative comments. We are also very concerned about keeping the harmony in the house. We are all different. I am not expecting you to work 5 hours per day. I am more expecting open mind volunteers that would like to experience Norway and go on a 4 days drive with me and the dogs if necessary. (strictly professional).

You cannot be allergic to cats since my cat lives inside :) and I am sorry but I will not accept more dogs or cats, since I need to have my own inside sometimes due to socialisation training and so.

The rest of the time you are free. We will agree on groceries and who need to drive :)
If this sounds like fun or like a good plan, WRITE A MESSAGE!!! :D

There are lots of natural opportunities around here. To make it easy, we can make an agreement in advance about when and where I will may need you or how many hours. For me is the same if you prefer to be here 10 days and then 5 free for example or if you prefer to help 5 days and 2 days free. We will find a solution! Send me som info about you and how long you would like to stay :) See you soon!
Charming location and freedom. Lillehammer nearby. Lakes and ski resorts.
