Please note this was back in 2017. In 2021 we may require some help again but not at the moment.
Hey spring travellers! We are trying to create a small team of fun people from all over the world to help prepare the Villa for summer rentals. There will be no pressure or difficult work, just easy stuff mixed with fun and laughter. We like to get to know our guests and share cooking, maybe some wine and tell each other our stories from around the world. We have guitars and a piano, and lots of space when you need some time off.
We need a some help varnishing window frames, painting, a bit of gardening and other easy odd jobs around the villa. We are an English family (Charlie and Clare and our 20 year old daughter Amy and our cat TC) who moved to Northern Tuscany 9 years ago. Since then we have been renovating our Libertine Villa in the heart of beautiful Bagni di Lucca a spa town 20 minutes from Lucca. Our villa is within easy reach of skiing in winter and beaches in the summer we have a small pool to soak away a hard days work or the Lido, spa, bars and restaurants are all walking distance. Our villa backs onto a lovely river (which is also great for a dip). It's a good base to explore the rest of Tuscany from as buses are regular and the train service very simple and reasonably priced.

We are a pretty laid back family who have travelled extensively. We like to have a good laugh and get to know our guests. After a good days work we love to kick back and relax with a few drinks and share stories. We have a piano and guitars for any musicians and we love cooking (curries are Charlie's speciality). I am a reflexologist and Charles has his own web development company that he runs from home. Many of our workaway guests have become good friends that we still keep in touch with.

Aide
We have an apartment on the ground floor that we offer for holiday rental and may need some light redecorating or simple cleaning and also want help with general garden maintenance. Typical work would be painting or varnishing, cleaning and setting up the place for the summer rentals, hedge trimming and planting out some flowers to make the place look pretty.

Hébergement
We have 2 double rooms available at any one time with shared use of 2 family bathrooms. So can accommodate 2 couples or singles travelling together can have a room each. Both rooms are in the main part of the villa and have high ceilings and chandeliers. As mentioned above we do have a cat so may not suit anyone with animal allergies. We have wifi and skype access so keeping in touch is easy. No smoking inside the house please.
