We are a close happy 3 generation family from England plus 3 cats and 2 dogs, who moved to Catalunya Spain 5 years ago, we have settled into the lifestyle and are in the process of building an holistic retreat. We are non smokers but are happy to accept smokers as long as its away from the house. Our Finca is on 7 hectares of land, with 500 olive trees, almond and walnut trees, variety of fruit tress, grapes, figs and an allotment. As much as possible we try not to use any chemicals on the land. We are restoring the old farm house (slow process)..... and always working on the land clearing, weeding, pruning etc Our aim eventually is to have a retreat where people can learn spiritual awareness through courses and to have holidays here in a tranquil, relaxing setting with a bit of fun thrown in.Région: Central Coast Queensland Australia

Hello you, I'm Thomas, two children living here for 20 years and growing sheep on a 80 hectare forest and field place. Since always, my house has been open, and work away is for me, a way to carry on sharing nice work, with nice people in a nice place. It's a well kept old traditionnal farm, at 4 kms from the little village, lost in the forest, very calm, lot of foot path with rivers next to here. On a side of this land, a non commercial activity has taken place, witch is made first to awake school children about their environnemnt, we also have there a permaculture veg garden, self construction events, and some activities around the biodiversity along the little wild rivers of the area.Région: Gers
We are an English couple early/mid 60's living in the Gers, South West France. We live in a tiny hamlet about 1.5 kilometres away from a small village in a beautiful area 3 kilometres from the nearest market town, Eauze, the capital of the Armagnac region. The house is set in 7 acres and is surrounded by vineyards and the area is also known for its fields of sunflowers. We also have a selection of house cats, barn cats and three retired horses. We moved here eight years ago to renovate our house, a farmhouse build in the Landes style, which at that time was a total ruin. Eight years on the house is almost finished but we have work left to do on the exterior, creating a collombage wall all along one side and taking off the render and exposing and pointing the stone walls to create pierre-apparente. Dave is a retired engineer with a lot of building experience so is able to train/instruct in various aspects of building whilst completing the required work. Ann is a keen amateur cook and gardener and is happy to give guidance/ideas in various culinary and gardening skills. Apart from a beautiful area of France we have a large size swimming pool and enjoy spending a long summers' evening over a barbecue and a glass or two of local wine. We are an easy going couple who enjoy good food - including meat. We have a wide range of taste in music. Many towns and villages have fetes during the summer months ranging from a small band or singer to Tempo Latino in Vic Fezensac and Jazz in Marciac. You can also join us in a weekly game of petanque in the village with the locals or even venture a game of quilles (a regional skittles game).
