Now looking to grow my own food again, plant fruit bushes and an orchard, make mosaic paths around raised beds, make wine, chutneys, jams, preserves, have herb gardens and generally have the place looking good, keep a few hens, and enjoy the country life to the fullest here. FACILITIES:- Wifi, Bath (no shower - need a plumber to put one in but it involves moving a hot water tank - so if you are an experienced Plumber - get in touch) Washer and Dryer, two fully fitted kitchens fully equipped with dishwashers. Tv, dvd's, limited Sky TV Connection, LIBRARY of books on Art, Mosaic Making, Country Crafts, Bees, Animal Husbandry, Cookery, Herbs, Spirituality, Crystal healing, Wine making, Bread Making, Mosaics, Gardening, Small Holding, Raising Poultry, and rearing animals. I have 10 years experience of raising animals and running a small holding that I can share with you and answer your questions etc. I am an Artist and Small holder with many talents and will share what I can with you during your stay. I've done many interesting things in my life and I met brilliant and famous people, I have traveled and seen many wonders, I was married to a French woman with her I had two great guys, we are now divorced, the children live independent and I at this time. I have retired to live a simple life, alone in a quiet old house in a small mountain village at the foot of Monte Rosa which is the second highest mountain in Europe, on the Swiss border. There is a winter sports resort (Macugnaga), just a few miles from my house where you can ski in winter, and in Summer, make excursions to the glaciers. There is plenty to do both summer and winter for the mind and the body. Walking, reading, writing, meditating, swimming in the river, visiting the villages, or the Lake Maggiore which isn't far . My house is large, surrounded by a forest of walnut and larch trees. I have a vegetable garden that I cultivate using natural and organic methods. We are a small backpacker hostel, located in Armenia Quindio, the heart, and the capital citiy of the coffee region in colombia, 20minutes from salento, and other beautiful coffee towns. Quindio and Eje cafetero it's definitely a region that you must see in colombia, and work in our hostel it's the perfect way to know the city, the towns around, and save money. we offer to the volunteers free accomodation, breakfast (hostel type), lunch for special price (2.500 cop) and discounts for some of the tourist activities in the area

Area: Abel Tasman National Park, South Island

*I'm sorry but we are unable to take anyone until after mid November.* We have a small lifestyle block/farm 15 minutes away from Motueka, and the Abel Tasman National Park, with a few sheep, a few geese, ducks, turkeys and peacocks. The property is also home to three Labrador dogs, two cats, two anti social llamas, three horses which always need more exercise so experienced horse riders very welcome!! Numerous chickens roam the property and the daily routine includes chicken feeding, egg collecting, egg cleaning and egg sorting by size ready to sell. We also have vegetable and flower gardens to prepare (rotary hoeing, weed matting, planting) for the summer and next winter's wood to split (we will have a log splitter). Help with all of the above would be great and there is always something to be done, either inside the house or out, cleaning and maintenance wise or some project in progress to be completed. Accommodation would be in our guest cottage when available (not so much during summer, Dec-March) or well equipped caravan (has shower and loo). Food/three meals a day are provided in return for 4-5 hours work. Work hours are flexible for those who would like to take time for sightseeing and enjoy the area. Self starters who are able to work unsupervised and have a good sense of humour (who won't mind getting their hands dirty!) preferred.
