Area: NegevIn the heart of the Negev highlands in Israel, near the rim of the Ramon Crater is our farm, one of few in the world where you can see a herd of beautiful llamas and alpacas, originally from South America. The farm combines agriculture with tourism; we farm the alpacas mainly for their wool and many visitors (families, school groups etc) come to see and learn about these fascinating animals. We offer B&B accommodation, leadership courses, horse riding etc.

Area: LeinsterHey, We are Paul and Claudia and are living on a smallholding and try to grow as much of our own food as possible and live a low-impact kind of a simple life on 2 acres. We have some ducks, geese and chickens. The nearest village is about 1km away, it has 1 shop and 4 pubs. We both studied Permaculture and got our hands on this old cottage. We are trying to fix the place up and establish a big garden and woodland area and repairing some of the old sheds on site. Main tasks here at the moment include tree planting, hugelbed making, looking after the place if we go away for a few days as well as help out when we are here. We are looking for helpers that are interested in nature and the way we live and not only want to learn english. It's important for us that you are enthusiastic and motivated. Usually short notice is okay for us, please tell us how long you would like to stay and we appreciate a personal message (so if you send out a lot of Emails to hosts make ours personal:-)) If you are interested feel free to ask any questions :)everything is flexible, peace, love and all that kind of stuff! :)
Area: near Tavira, AlgarveWE ARE NOT TAKING ANY MORE WORKAWAYS AT THE MOMENT Hello we are, Jim & Sue, who live in a beautiful home within two acres of land. We follow organic practices and have had a few seasons of produce. We live in one of the most beautiful parts of the Algarve. Our home overlooks a valley and we see hills and valley's all around. We want to live much more self sufficiently. We have olives and carob trees and we grow vegetables in beds and also in a tunnel. We need people who can weed and clear some land. The closest town is Tavira, which is about 6 km away. The sea is about the same distance. We have bikes if you want to see some of the area whilst you are here. Meals are freshly made and eaten in the house or outside if the weather is not too hot or cold. We lean towards vegetarianism but do eat meat and fish. We offer good accommodation, a room in the house or in a modern camper van, 3 meals, for 4-5 hours work a day, for 5 days, also help out with cleaning up and food preparation. Our expectation is that you will start work between 8:30am and 9:00am and work for about 4-5 hours. There will be plenty of time for relaxing, visiting the beach, walking and chilling. Jim was a computer consultant and Sue worked in International Development. Sue now writes and takes photos.
