Area: LazioWe are an Australian couple who spend the summer in our Italian house overlooking the medieval village of Cottanello in the Sabine Hills in Lazio, near the Umbrian border. The nearest large town is Rieti, the physical center of Italy and we are only 1.5 hours from Rome. Our property has one hectare of land planted with olive and fruit trees and is situated in the foothills of the Sabine Hills. Our renovations, with the exception of one room, are complete, so the main body of our work is gardening and generally maintaining the grounds which comprises mowing, brush cutting, weeding and pruning. For relaxation there are some good mountain walks, with panoramic views over the valleys and villages below, and on a clear day you can see as far as Rome. We have a good selection of books, internet access and an art studio where you can paint and work with clay if this interests you.
Area: Spain (Andalusia)I'm Craig, a 50 year old vegetarian English guy who lives half the year in the UK but have had a small house with land of mature fruit trees for the past 10 years. I try to spend as much time in Spain as possible, off and on around 6 months a year, sometimes on my own and sometimes with my partner, Lucy, a clinical psychologist. I am a film maker. Although the house is small, we are always improving it and there is always something to do on the land depending on the time of year; pruning and planting trees, harvesting fruit, water pipe repairs and other ongoing projects.

Area: Andalucia* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Update: * I provisionally have all the help I need for the next year. * I'll be looking to host workawayers again around October 2015!! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * I'm a single British guy with a large house in the heart of Cazorla, a busy little white town set in beautiful mountains. With the help of workawayers the house has been converted into a rental home and an owner's apartment. There isn't much to do now so I'm only accepting workawayers in late October-November, and around Easter - in winter it's too cold to heat all the house, and in summer I hope to be earning money from renting the house. The work isn't so exciting - preparing the house for rental, some DIY, cutting firewood - but you don't come to Cazorla for the work, you come for the lovely town and the beautiful countryside. I think all my visitors have left with great memories of the area.
Area:Hello everybody! We are happy young Russian family with 3 children. Maxim (35), Anastasia (31), Miya (8), Fedor (6) and Praskovya (1). We live in St.Petersburg - one of the most beautiful cities in the world. For summer holidays we go to the countryside, where we build nice big house for us and our friends. That's wonderful place! Real Russian village! Nice organic farm not far from our house! Fresh organic food! And all these 1 hour way from St. Petersburg with it's great tourist live! But from September till May we move to the city center (Sportivnaya metro station). Unfortunately, here in the city we don't have separate room for our workawayers. But there are people, who are ready to stay with us in the living room, or together with children. %)
