Description
This is an active permaculture farm and Eco-Culture Educational Centre. Here you are not going to just help with the tasks but you are going to be immersed in an active running example of a regenerative sustainable model of life. Something very important today is to learn how to support life on this planet and not kill it. You are going to learn how to grow your food, how to harvest, how to conserve, how to cook, and much much more depending on the season. We call it "a school of life" and we have more than ten years of experience in that.
We are active in the fields of Permaculture design, maintenance and monitoring. We focus on education in Permaculture and regenerative practices. We run educational retreats. Our time is spent in the maintenance of our food plant nursery with associated gardens within a sustainable system. We maintain vegetable gardens and fruit areas, gathering of our harvest and preparing and conserving it. We educate on the collection and drying of Herbs. Also soil building through composting and various other methods.
The estate is 10000 square meters and is located in the Northern Peloponnese, 750 m above sea level, right next to the wild forest and 30 minutes from the sea by car. A large variety of fruit trees, vegetables and herbs are currently the main food production. Different seminars and workshops are held almost weekly that attract people from Greece as well as from abroad.
This project was initially founded by a young Greek couple, Flery and Christos. Very sadly, Christos passed away very recently (this year in February). The permanent residents of the place (about 7 all year long) are now left with his legacy and want to keep the vision and life of the project alive. Therefore we are in a transitory phase, adapting day by day to the absence of the main leader of this project. The volunteer experience is a key aspect of our lives and we invite you to join us in this phase of our project.
Through your stay, you’ll be mainly sharing your everyday life with the permanent residents, a pretty diverse group of people from 18 to 75 years old, coming from all around Europe including our groups of Volunteers.Types of help and learning opportunities

My apologies that this is coming so late. Thinking about you all daily, and the time between now and since I left you all has opened up so much space to reflect on how special my time in Seliana was – a space that is constantly and effortlessly inviting to pour in my gratitude and love for all of you! ~
