Description
We operate between Marburg and Limburg. The season starts in April and ends in October. But this depends on the weather. Peak time is in August.
The Lahn river is quiet flowing and ideal for beginners and familys. You can do an one day tour or up to a six days tour. Along the river are campsites and hotels. When canoes or kayaks are available take for free a kayak or canoe and discover flora and fauna of this water! It is worth it!

Volunteer Work:
We have early mornings, up at 7; we need helping hands to bring the boats out to different starting points. You have free time around the middle of the day between when the customers go out and when they come back. Then we start collecting the boats to bring them back home. The equipment has to be cleaned and you will help the customers in and out of the boats. There is a lot of boat lifting and cleaning to be done, we would prefer someone tall and strong for lifting boats on to the trailers.
Weekends are the busiest. During the week it is a bit quieter.
Gardening, helping in the house, cooking, farming, painting, chopping wood, helping out in our metal work - it is all possible because we are flexible. This rental is a family business and a lot of our friends helped us in the last five years. What was amazing! You will feel this when you work with us. We have always new ideas and are glad when we hear yours.
Not everybody of us speaks all these languages - we help each other out.

Lunch time we have together when it is possible.
In the evening after work we sometimes go together to a Biergarten. Mostly on weekend.
Or everybody does something for his own - we will see.
Hessen is known as the state of forest. Here you have a lot of possibilities to hike, see castles, cute lakes, festivals and awesome citys.
We just want to give something back and want to be a part of your travels.
Please notice we are only abel to cook for meat eaters and vegetarians.

-> Volunteer with a canoeing & kayaking family near Frankfurt/Germanyi stayed with antonia, cordula and their family for 6 weeks and had such a wonderful time did not want to leave at all, they made me feel so welcome in their home, i really felt like i was apart of their family, i loved working on the canoe base is wetzlar and had great opportunities to go canoeing and visit other villages and towns near by, i really cant thank them enough for all their generosity, its going to be an adventure i will never forget i really hope to see them again, because i made a good friendship with them, thankyou so much guys for letting me stay i appreciate everything you have done for me.

In the six weeks she stayed with us we made a lot good memories. Everyone of us was happy that she stayed longer than planned first.
Teigan was always willing to help in whatever was the need of the moment. She was generous with her time and often noticed the things that required attention.
We all had a lot of fun together and we could recommend her to anyone! Hopefully we see each other again somewhere in the world. Save travels & just the best!
