We operate between Marburg and Limburg. The season starts in May and ends in September. But this depends on the weather. Peak time is in August.
The Lahn river is quiet flowing and ideal for beginners and familys. You can do an one day tour or up to a six days tour. Along the river are campsites and hotels. When canoes or kayaks are available take for free a kayak or canoe and discover flora and fauna of this water! It is worth it!

Accomodation:
New year - new accomodation!
At the basement of the canoe hall we have a bathroom, kitchen and spare place for two bunk beds. It is rustic and comfy. You will share premises with one of our staffer. He has his own sleeping room. Oberwetz is a small village next to the forest. The public transport is not highly frequented. You can lend one of our bikes to go for a trip.
Food:
You will cook for yourself at the kitchen in the basement. We will provide you the standard goods you need. Thanks for cleaning up after yourself!
Volunteer Work:
Saturdays are the busiest. It is mainly weekend work. During week you will have two days off. We have early mornings, up at 7; we need helping hands to bring the boats out to different starting points. You have free time around the middle of the day between when the customers go out and when they come back. Then we start collecting the boats to bring them back home. The equipment has to be cleaned and you will help the customers in and out of the boats. There is a lot of boat lifting and cleaning to be done, we would prefer someone tall and strong for lifting boats on to the trailers. Honestly it is hard work and long days!
Gardening, helping in the house, cooking, farming, painting, choping wood, helping out in our metal work - it is all possible because we are flexible.

Teigan is amazing!
In the six weeks she stayed with us we made a lot good memories. Everyone of us was happy that she stayed longer than planned first.
Teigan was always willing to help in whatever was the need of the moment. She was generous with her time and often noticed the things that required attention.
