Description
We are a surf club, located in front of Piscinas beach, part of the chain of beaches in Lobitos. It's a great surf location, Piscinas has waves almost all year round and is one of the most visited beaches by local and international surfers . Also, because currently we are the only ones that offer this kind of service at this beach there is lots of potential here.
Our Club has a restaurant, terrace, car camping and campfires .
Our mission is to provide quality service and all the tools so that surfers can focus on surfing and having fun in the process.
Workawayers will have the opportunity to get some waves and learn about the surfing culture of Peru.
Lobitos is a fisherman's village, located in the desert and the place was a military base. This creates a special atmosphere that attracts artists, surfers and people who likes nature and adventure from all over the world, but it still has a quiet vibe.
Somos un surf club ubicados frente al mar en la Playa Piscinas, parte de la cadena de playas que constituye Lobitos. Su ubicación es estratégica, ya que Piscinas es una de las playas más visitadas por tablistas nacionales e internacionales. Así mismo, porque en la actualidad somos los únicos que ofrecemos este tipo de servicio en dicha playa, hay mucho potencial para desarrollar!
El club cuenta con un restaurante, terraza, zona de campamento y fogatas.
Nuestra misión es ofrecer un servicio de calidad y todas las herramientas para que el tablista pueda concentrarse en correr olas y divertirse en el proceso.
Los voluntarios también contarán con la oportunidad de surfear y conocer el estilo de vida de la costa norte del país.
Lobitos es un pueblo de pescadores situado en el desierto. El club está construido en las ruinas de lo que fue una base militar y a pesar que el pueblito es visitado por artistas, surfistas, y gente de todo el mundo que busca la naturaleza, sigue manteniendo una atmósfera muy tranquila.

You can learn what it is like to live in a deserted place, where there's not much around and still enjoy life.
You can practice spanish with the locals.
We can go out and see whales with the local fisherman's boats from July until September. The rest of the year we can go out fishing and preparing a ceviche right in the boat.
You will surely be able to learn some Spanish, some recipes and improve your surfing while living with an ocean view. Everyone of the members of the staff knows how to surf and we can give you some tips.
Puedes aprender la vida en el desierto, donde no hay mucho para hacer y aun disfrutar la vida.
Puedes practicar español con los locales. Aquí trabajamos 3 peruanos y a todos nos encanta surfear.
Puedes ver ballenas con los pescadores locales desde Julio a Septiembre. El resto del año puedes ir a pescar y disfrutar de un ceviche fresco arriba del bote.

Accommodation
We offer accomodation in a shared room with other volunteers (maximum of 3 volunteers). Volunteers can use the kitchen to prepare their meals, and one communal lunch will be provided for Workawayers.

What else ...
There are not many places to buy food around Lobitos, but there´s a bus car service provided by locals that can take you for 6 soles to Talara (30 minutes away) to get your groceries. This works every day until 7pm.

We have two 2 dogs and 1 cat. If they are friendly with people and get along well with our animals, we have no problem with pets coming along. You have to take care of the food of your pet. En este caso los voluntarios deben encargarse del alimento de su mascota.

This is the best place where you can have a workaway stay. Simple but effective organisation of the jobs (very easy btw) and the more you want to do the better.

I spent almost four weeks in Lobitos and for me it was one of the best places in Peru. This place is chilled, the waves are good and the people at the hostel (especially the staff of course) are amazing. I would have stayed longer if I could. I'm already missing this place. Thanks a lot!!

Lobitos is a fantastic step off the Gringo trail. We absolutely loved our experience volunteering at this place. The hostel in a great location overlooking the beach with good waves too. Loved volunteering here. The atmosphere is incredibly laid back and relaxed. Kate is amazing at managing the hostel and everyone loves her. Plus, Lobitos is a great little surf spot. I highly recommend volunteering here and I can't wait to return to Lobitos.
