In 2013 we are looking at expanding our goals and are allowing experienced riders the opportunity to partake in the training and competing of our purebred and part bred Arabians in the sport of endurance riding. Riders will start out at shorter distances (20km), however may qualify onto 80km or even 160km distances. As you can imagine this training can be very intense so most volunteers would benefit from staying here for around 3-6 months.
With two small impressionable children we do request No smokers, neither my husband, myself or other employees smoke and we do appreciate the clean air. Also being on a cattle station our diet consists of a fair amount of meat (beef, goat, sheep, pork & chicken), this is something that vegetarians need to consider prior to coming to stay with us.
We do also at times have a position available to assist with the children and household chores, whilst this person would not spend as much time with the horses they definately will get the opportunity to ride one of steady horses kept for this purpose, this position is perfect for those who are unable to stay as long who have not had the riding experience.

This position is best situated to people who enjoy the quite life spending time with nature and horses. Sometimes you will get the chance to go sightseeing, camping, fishing and to experience the past times unique to outback Australia. We are not far from the Whitsunday Islands where day trips and island cruises can be arranged at a cost.
