    Description

    Hello Everyone,

Welcome to Japan and to my house.

My name is Daisuke, I am from Japan. I live in Shizuoka pref.

Please read my profile well before writing to us. Thank you so much.

I’m living in a traditional Japanese farmer village. I live in a house that we renovated from a green tea factory to a nice home, and we have an extra room for workaways.

My house is in Fujieda, which is located between Tokyo and Kyoto. The house is surrounded by mountains, Bamboo forests, Rivers, and Green Tea Fields. It is a very peaceful part of Japan, simple countryside with beautiful nature.

I used to be backpacker for long time. I like to play music.

    I would like help with:

    • Outdoor and Handyman help
    • House cleaning
cleaning is only for private home and not related to your my businesses

    • Gardening (take grass and leaves out ect.)
    • Creative and Artistic Skills
    • Teaching English (I would like to increase my English skills)
    • Teaching Piano (I’m a beginner and would like to improve my skills)

It is important for me that those that help clean, can do it very well. So, I’m looking for a person who can do a thorough job and who enjoys cleaning.

If you have any other skills and experience you would like to share, please let me know. I like sharing and exchanging different knowledge and skills.

If one person has a few skills, that would be perfect.

    Coming up:

For April 2024 – I only have space for one strong guy left. I am looking for a person who has experienced outdoor skills.

The accommodation is full otherwise, I cannot accept any couples for this time. Please only message me if you fit this requirement. Thank you.

We are really grateful to you for reading my page.

We accept volunteers only from the age of 23 and older. We can accept also couples. Usually, we have one or two volunteers at a time. The winter is very cold - think twice before you write to us :) Thank you so much.

We also want to mention that there are spiders in the house. They are harmless, but they are big!! When its winter there are no insects.

We think it’s a great experience for someone who cares to clean very well, has skills to share, loves nature, and wants to experience living simply in the Japanese countryside.

We really wish for you to have great time here and to enjoy, as well as get important work done.
We need the extra hand sometimes and be so happy if you come :)

    Thank you.

Visiting here might be a nice opportunity to see traditional farmers village in Japan. You can see how people live and farm. You can also enjoy the local nature and walk in the bamboo forests and green tea fields. We have a hike with a view of Fuji Mountain (if clouds don’t block the view).

We have a traditional Japanese house, so you can see a house from 100 years ago.

We can speak Japanese with you, and we sometimes cook Japanese food.

We hope you will like it here.

We have a spare room for workawayers which can be private or shared. If it’s a shared room, there will be two in the room, either two women or two men.

As we will be living together it’s important to us that you are clean and tidy. Also, I ask if workawayers they can have separate clothes only used for working which they will not wear inside the house.

About meals - we don't cook meat. We cook veg and fish - we hope this ok for you. Also, we cannot offer vegan meals.

We are happy to offer you meals on your working days. However, on your days off we ask that you take care of your food by yourself. Thank you so much.
