We are a 10 acre smallholding in mid Wales. Two homes -myself Jules and husband Nick in one, and my daughter Rebbecca, and son in law Woef in the other. It`s a beautiful place - woods and fields full of wild flowers, a ceramic studio (available to those interested) a polytunnel with veg, gardens and a tree nursery (see website ). There are always lots of renovations to do, new plans and ideas, good conversation and laughter. We cook great food (one house vegetarian) and brew wonderful beer, so lots to do if it`s raining. We have no livestock at the moment, only 4 wonderful dogs - and a frisbee.

Hello, I am a French native origionally from Paris, I speak some English thanks mostly to the work in which I have been involved. I live with one beautiful dog and a cat in a peaceful location rural France but near to shops and towns, I am a very social person and often out, there is plenty of good French on offer and I am often visited by English and French friends, and invited to BBQs, house parties etc. to which you are more than invited. I operate a plant nursery from home and this does not leave me a lot of free time to work on the house and garden, therefore projects include gardening/weeding, land clearing, D.I.Y, some painting. The house and barns, being contructed over 200 years ago, in local stone, the house is full of features and charm. I am openly gay and so it goes without saying, if you are homophobic you would be better finiding another location. I am happy that you share all meals during your stay. To the side of the property you will find a charming salt water pool, wireless internet and more peace and quiet than you could shake a stick at!

We are a little family of 3 (Oliver, 30, Meike, 35, and Emil, 2) who are seeking connection to the land and community. We value sustainability and want to live a satisfying, healthy and creative life. We have just bought a piece of property with the intent of starting an organic farm and forming an ecovillage. We would like to invite like-minded people in our age group (20-40ish) to inquire, help out, learn and perhaps join and create a wonderful interdependent community with us. We are located only minutes north of Greenwood and only an hour from Osoyoos. 142 acres with Jewel Creek running through it. It has crown land on 3 sides and trails all around. Less than 2 km to Jewel Lake. This summer we are focusing on establishing our homestead to prepare for the winter. We are renovating a log house, one of the few buildings that are already on the land. We are planning to eventually build a cluster of natural homes designed to minimize ecological disturbance and maximize use of the fertile, previously cleared areas for organic farming and gardening. We will use building material sourced from our land as much as possible. We are big fans of cob buildings and round houses. We will produce our own power by setting up solar and hydro systems so we hope to get off grid quite quickly. Grey water will be treated naturally and used for irrigation. Composting toilets will provide humanure for some gardens and plants. We want to consume food that is produced locally, ideally on our own farm, but always sustainably. Our organic farm will supply residents and visitors with fresh, organic food; surplus can be sold on local farmer's markets (twice a week in Greenwood) and to restaurants in the area. We will build root cellars to store fruits and veggies for the winter. We are going to incorporate Permaculture principles: zoning, swales, terraces, composting, humanure, mulching, rainwater catchment, hugelkultur, just to name a few. Some of us have experience with biodynamic gardening. We look forward to meeting many cool people and are excited about what we can accomplish!

Area: Luzern/ Zentralschweiz (Lucern)

Hi, we are Toni & Jasmin. I originally come from Germany. Some years ago, we seperately traveled to Australia & met there in a pub. One year later I moved over to Switzerland. And now, 7 years later,Toni runs the dairy farm/ livestock of his father in the vicinity of Lucern. The farm is located ca. 20min out of Lucern city situated on a hill with a beautiful view over lake Sempach & our village. There are some hiking trails around & mountains to climb. In wintertime it takes you about an hour in each direction to go skiing. We are expanding the farm & the house, so it would be great for us to have some help. The work depends on season and projekts. Mainly there is work in and around the house/ garden. Occasionally there is some work in the barn. Yearround there is a agriculture trainee with us and some lovely cats. We both have some activities we do in our freetime. Toni is a fireman & I am riding a horse (not my own horse). I do a lot of dancing & would like to improve in yoga. I am interested in photography. We both like travelling, but it get`s harder & harder to find some time for that. So now we are looking forward to see you around here:-)

We live in a very wild and beautiful place in the south of France and have 2 donkeys, 3 hans, a dog, a cat, a lot of land to bring into cultivation and to brush cutter and a barn to repair. We plant trees also. The garden is quite big and every plantation is organic; our food too! We like to meet people and on this place we pick fruits, we dry them and transform our production, so any help will be welcomed , of course it's physical works Our daughter is studiing in Paris. I have travelled quite often and it's not finish! The country is also so beautiful and we have a lot of passions and experiences to share. I am clown teacher and Luigi was movies projector and now he is the gardener at home We are engaged in different associations and are volunteers for movies association and municipal library.So we have french and english books and we project 2 movies a week. We like animals and, of course natural and very simple life. We can speak english, italian, a little spanish too and dutch. Avec les beaux jours , nos activites sont essentiellement a l'exterieur : jardin, debroussaillage, travaux d'entretien et renovation de la grange (en eco construction) et autres projets... La riviere est aussi un lieu tres important de ressourcement, de baignade et de petits chantiers pour en nettoyer les rives. j'espere attaquer un de ces 4 une mosaique dans la maison etc... Bienvenue donc aux personnes aimant la nature et ayant le coeur et l'esprit ouverts. PS: la viande n'est pas exclue mais effectivement nous ne chassons pas et nous avons souvent des choix plus alternatifs. Cependant Luigi en est gourmand et parfois nous en trouvons de la bonne !! Aucun sectarisme mais des choix que nous esperons coherents.
