A "Maison de maître" in the south of France

Description
We are Sundara and David, a retired but still very active Scottish couple. Our only home is a large mansionhouse ('maison de maître') overlooking the Canal du Midi in the Languedoc region. It is used for various purposes and occasional voice workshops and recitals. We have a large Mediterranean garden and a 12.5 m pool.

We would expect an input 25 hours a week, ranging from painting to gardening and cleaning (including the pool). In addition we would expect you to share cooking and meal preparation. You do need to be practical, but computing skills are not needed. We would like you to stay for a week initially, with longer stays by arrangement.

We will give you a large double bedroom, all meals and wine, and access to broadband (ADSL). Two mountain bikes and two grand pianos are available.

We generally prefer couples, as we live in a small village with limited entertainment. Your work will range from painting to gardening, cleaning (including the pool), and sharing the cooking. You do need to be practical, but computing skills are not needed.

As our first hosts we were unsure of what to expect, but WOW!!! David and Sundara were phenomenal hosts that really opened their home to us. The fantastic food, wine and conversation was enjoyed thoroughly and we could not have asked for better hosts. David and Sundara really showed us a little bit of the French life and we felt right at home in more
Kayle and Rashika were truly two wonder girls. Always willing to help in whatever was the need of the moment.
They were generous with their time and often noticed the things that required attention.
We all had alot of fun together (in spite of the age differences), and we could recommend them to anyone.

Sundara and David were the best hosts Ive ever had! (and Ive been doing this kind of traveling for 4yrs!!)
They really were so generous, wonderful, energetic and funny! So many good times were shared (dont challenge Sundara to a game of table tennis though, she has a killer serve!!)

It is extraordinary how the castle is filled with charm and trust, good music and stunning moments, surrounded by the breathtaking landscape. The two of you are amazing.
