Description
Welcome to our old house near the sea, on the island of Tjøme in Norway. Here lives Anette and Simon and our children; Aurora, Jonathan, Nicholas, Mikkeline and Hanna Othilie, our Deerhound Mumrik the Whippets Frazze and Thelma. We grow much of our own vegetables and work after permaculture principles. We keep chickens, ducks and bees. From these we get eggs and honey; which we sell. We also have two riding horses, a cat and two minipigs. In the house we have a bearded Dragon and a Ball Python snake.
The house is located beautifully in nature near the sea and forest with a rich array of wild animals and birds. The work depends on the season but will mainly consist of the daily animal care; feeding and cleaning morning, lunch and evening, some garden work, woodchopping, some help around the house; cooking and housekeeping and other maintenance work like fencing and other needed activities around the farm.
You will live in a separate house with a small kitchen. Bathroom is in the main house. You make breakfast and lunch on your own, but eat dinner with us. We are working other jobs in the daytime, so you will mainly work by yourself.
We appreciate positive, interested people who are reliable, proper, independent, loves animals and like to work outside in all sorts of weather.
You have Sundays off to enjoy the beautiful nature surroundings, go into town or just relax.
We prefer workawayers that want to stay three months or longer.Types of help and learning opportunities

The work was varied so there was always something interesting to do - projects like painting some of the buildings, cleaning out, weeding, and chopping firewood ensured that one wouldn't get bored while also learning a lot of new skills!
