...ever close your eyes,- ever stop and listen, ever feel alive- and you have nothing missing. YOU DON'T NEED A REASON- let the day go on and on... /Enya/ We are a young latvian couple - Linda and Renars.. ... living in a London throughout winter, but coming back to our country house in the summer time. :) There with us lives Linda's grandma, young dog boy and a cat. :) Renars is connected with IT and web things, but Linda is a freelance artist/designer. ..just lost in nature and touched its beauty... ...and ART IS EVERYWHERE... We can find inspiration in all ways we can.... ....In tall grass, ....in small old town with smell of spring or big city with graphical glasses, ....in sound of grasshopper,or in old old yellow newspapers list who can tell us story... We really enjoy all what life offers to us... It could be possibilities, people or just the rainy or shiny weather... :D we like people a lot... :) and we like to share... :) Share good moments, time, smiles, picnics and millions of small details what are all around... :) ...EVERYTHING IS FOR A REASON.... AND FOR A GOOD REASON....Area: New South Wales
We are a painter and a sculptor who live and work from our waterfront home and studio on Dangar Island. We have three small children aged 8,7 and 3 years. Dangar island is situated 1hr north of Sydney by train or car and is boat assess only. The ferry runs every hour. We are keen permaculture gardeners, and have a garden filled with paintings & sculptures in amongst the fruit trees. We have a variety of subtropical fruit trees planted, happy chickens & a healthy vegetable patch. Work includes gardening, weeding, building garden paths & sheds, tree planting, maintenance of vegetable garden, making sculptures and art reproductions, painting buildings and whatever else we have to do. Must have a sense of humour and be prepared to have fun while working. Usual stay is about a week to start, however longer stays are negotiable after first few days. Although building, painting and landscaping skills would be nice the most important thing is that you are WILLING to work. We are happy to teach you new skills provided you are willing to make the effort. We have canoes and rowboats and in your spare time you are welcome to go exploring or fishing on the river estuary. Lots of great hiking and bushwalks in the surrounding national parks. Would be very happy to host Spanish, Japanese or Chinese speakers as I need to practice these languages. Must be a non smoker. We can also host couples and possibly even one or two small children too for short stays.Area: Lower Normandy

Has old-fashioned courtesy been consigned to the rubbish-dump? Any hope at all that workawayers could spare 30 seconds to reply to messages?! I am an artist/writer/photographer living in a smallish bungalow situated 1 km. from a 13th century walled town with very narrow streets! Bhind my house is a 1-acre field with a stable where my Shetland pony, Flicka and my donkey, Kassie live – though they do visit me unexpectedly now and then! I would really like to find a helper who would spend some time grooming the equines and teaching them to walk on a lead-rein with a soft bit. I have three cats, Lulu (aged 12) who spends a lot of her time in the stable, Kiwi (4) and Siog (Gaeilge for ‘fairy’), the baby, both of whom spend most of their time in the house with access to a walled courtyard for fresh air. My day is usually taken up with painting or designing in Photoshop, recording or mixing audio projects in my studio, writing my weekly columns for a local newspaper and a national magazine, taking and processing photographs and playing my beloved Takamine EN-40. I have lots of other instruments in my studio.Area: Cartago Province
We have an organic coffee and fruit farm nestled in a small valley of mountains located in Costa Rica. The farm has become a haven for animals in need of care and we currently have seven dogs, three pigs, a cat, rabbit and horse on the property. Our interest is in having an individual/s with interest in nature, animals and enjoying the food of the land. We strive to maintain a healthy lifestyle and prefer caretakers who are the same (no drinkers, smokers or drug users). We are committed to helping animals in need, and won't compromise that commitment by allowing any type of animal product consumption by our guests on the farm. Even though not all our previous volunteers were vegetarian or vegan, they all ate vegan while staying with us. That has held true for tourist guests as well. If you want to learn about the traditions and language of the people from this beautiful region and assist with our farm projects, contact us for more information.
