I am a single working mother to four lovely children aged 13, 11, 3 and 20 months .... We also have a dog, a cat, a rabbit and a chicken and various snails that my daughter adopts from time to time! I hold down a demanding full time job but also teach music from home and regularly perform. We live on the lovely channel island of Guernsey, a really special place.
I really am just looking for someone to be an extra pair of hands, spending a bit of time with the children and helping with the housework and pets, lots of time free to explore our beautiful and interesting island home.

Help in the house
Just looking for a little help! Someone to be an extra pair of hands in the morning and evening as I get myself ready for work, and the children ready for school/nursery, and help with our pets, like taking the dog for a walk. Help in the garden is welcome for those who like to be outdoors, and, as the house and outbuilding need some work, I can also accommodate workawayers who are keen to volunteer on this kind of project rather than be involved with childcare and animal care.
I am out at work all day Monday - Friday, so there is plenty of time to explore the island of Guernsey, and I love telling people about the island's history so hope you would learn a lot.
Private room with television, desk and wifi. Shared bathroom (although there are two bathrooms to share so there are never "queues"). Lovely Victorian house which needs some further work but has a lovely garden and views over neighbouring islands. All meals are included, although I work full time, so it is a "help yourself to lunch" kind of arrangement, with taking turns for evening meals.
Guernsey is a beautiful island with a rich history. Closer to France, but a Crown Dependency of the United Kingdom, there's a cultural mix of English and French although it is an English speaking island. Beaches to explore, other Islands to visit, and a lot more! Our home is just a few minutes walk from the centre of the island's main town, St Peter Port, and just round the corner from the island's main leisure centre including a large park. Buses are excellent, and nowhere is really far to walk. There is so much to find out about - and you can even pay a visit to the house of Victor Hugo, one of the island's most famous former residents, who wrote Les Miserables whilst living in Guernsey.
