Myself: Born in Pakistan 16 Dec 1968, first degree Agriculture, Pakistan MSc Forestry, Bangor, North Wales, followed by teachers' training (PGCE). Taught on the Isle of Wight for 6 years, 1 year in Spain and in Poland since 2007. I have a small farm 3 ha, 54 km north of Krakow. I teach in a private school in Krakow to earn money to be able to establish a small garden center business on the farm. Plan to plant 1/2 ha of coppice wood land and 1/2 ha of orchard by end of 2012.

I am Viv, a 50yo mother of two (son 22 and daughter 20) married to Ian, a motor mechanic and jack of many trades 51 yrs old. I work as an animal attendant at RSPCA part time, my husband also works part time. We are owner builders, but nearly finished. We live on 47 acres where we have numerous domestic and farm animals. I have travelled Europe and my family enjoy interests such as, music & theatre, film, playing instruments and singing, learning languages, animal husbandry, solar living, growing predominantly organic meat, old engines, reading, horse riding, motorbikes, wildlife care, and attempting to reduce our environmental impact. At times, when we holiday, my mum (72 yo) looks after the place and would certainly love having company and some help. She has her own house 10 minutes away and could use some help gardening. Any work done there would be included in the allotted hours..not extra. We laugh alot and do not have strict rules of ettiquette,

We are a kiwi/irish family - 2 daughters aged 10 & 11 who are very social. We are dairy farming milking 750 cows and have 5 horses for hunting. We live right on the beach and have beautiful views over the coast and back to the Southern Alps.

We are looking for another helper or 2 with at least a little basic construction-type experience that can help with some of the heavier work, ie fencing & construction etc.! If you're worried about it being cold here, it doesn't usually get too cold in this part of Canada, & usually not much snow! (Very similar weather to Germany & England) . We are primarily racehorse breeders, we have around 10 horses right now, along with 3 tiny kids ponies, but we also raise grass fed beef, & have a couple of Jersey cows (for milk), some goats (we milk one occasionally to make goat cheese ), sheep, a llama (guards the sheep), chickens, ducks, turkeys & geese along with peacocks, guinea fowl, some barn cats, a (quiet) gentle dog (Blue Heeler) & 2 parrots. All spring & summer we have the incubator going, hatching out peacocks, turkeys & guinea fowl. All animals are kept outside except for the parrots. One of the parrots keeps everybody laughing with her comments & does an amazing array of tricks, animal imitations, laughing & also sings. We also have (a few) of our own (organic) fruit & nut trees, including apple, cherry, crabapple, plum, pear, nectarine, apricot, fig, hazelnut & walnut trees, along with blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, saskatoons, black currants, lots of rhubarb as well as some vegetables. We are located in Langley, B.C., 1 hour from both downtown Vancouver or the nearest skiing mountain (Grouse Mountain), (or about 3 hours to Whistler), 20 minutes to the nearest beach, and we're 1 mile up from the U.S. border. We are quiet, (non drinkers & non partiers) considerate & very respectful of others privacy & hopefully you are as well!! We are reasonable people, & enjoy humor. We aren't health food fanatics, but we like to eat good-tasting food, preferably without any chemicals etc. We do eat quite healthy, and homemade bread & jams are always available. Our hobbies include dancing (country & western, latin, swing & ballroom), restoring vintage cars (we have a few), traveling, gardening (Debbi loves LOTS of flowers!!!) cooking (and eating!) & enjoy having pot luck barbecues & barn dances here during the summer & fall, & we love farming! You must be (as we are,) honest, dependable, reasonably clean and mentally stable, (no (unmedicated) bipolar or anger management issues please!) & NO DRUGS, heavy drinkers, or smoking!!! A great sense of humor is a definite asset!

Area: Lower Silesia

Our names are Konstancja and Frank and we moved to Jizera Mountains from different places. Konstancja is engaged in handicraft. She is working with natural fabrics, from silk, linen to the felt, is making silk-screen prints, weaves, dyes and paints. Frank is primarily working with the use of recycled materials. We make also handmade candles with natural beeswax. There is organic garden with vegetables and fruits. At the moment we are working on the project of rebuilding an old warehouse into a new earthshipe from recicling materials. We are also involved in the local association Unia Izerska, and our project is now is to build bike path through the woods to Czech Repablic wchich is 3km away.
