I am an American Muslim Woman who has lived in Egypt for 20 years. 3 years ago I relocated to the Western Desert where I live in a true Oasis called Bahariya. I own two properties, both will eventually become rental units, and or Bed and Breakfast accommodation. I live on the edge of a small village called Aguz. I fell in love with and purchased an old mud village. I have electricity but want to renew or reface and develop my area and I work with Mud construction, stone construction and with Limestone block...or whatever I need. I have tried to stick to traditional building materials and the roofs are made with Palm fronds and wood beams. My castle building is a 3 floor unit, and the Butte house is going to be 2 floors. I speak alot of Arabic and few people here speak English. This IS a major Oasis for tourists to begin Deep desert Safari from 5 to 20 days. I moved here to #1 enjoy life, #2 develop some income property #3 teach and learn by doing.
My own personal mission would be keep it simple, show by doing, keep it pure and Organic as much as possible. I live a very healthy life. I keep rabbits and chickens and want to garden more...Im just overwhelmed with work and getting things done alone. If you come you can jump right in! I usually get 2 local guys and they do the HARD stuff and we direct and help out.

I can offer accommodation for one to up to 10 persons and if you can help with any little money ($100 a week=7days- each or ?) for food and stuff, I can show you a great time here and will give you as much info as possible on everything I know about Egypt, and that's alot !.
I was formally a Project Manager and Safari Office owner, I have a truck, another Condo in the Sinai (Dahab!) so life IS good.
I need help with work like finishing the walls, painting, masonry, ceramic or stone flooring, cement mixing Egyptian style (on the ground!), wood work of putting in the doors and windows, building rabbit and chicken pens and lots of cleaning and moving debris.

Western Desert 4 hours from Cairo

I need it all...The 3rd floor of the castle needs finishing...Brick work, wall plastering and putting up the wood ceiling. I do it mostly myself with 2 workers, I know how to do it all.
The Butte House needs the roof put up, Log beams, Palm fronds and either a mud or cement ceiling... If you want to know MUD construction I can teach and show you more than I've seen on youtube!

Im giving the place a natural finished look, so nothing is perfect, no worries there.... I want to do A LOT more Art in the Mud work.. I set in small stones, draw designs, its great fun!

You can expect to help with Mud repair, the bricks are done!, Palm Frond collecting and skinning, Cement mixing alot....stone work, walls and floors... Also finishing the water cistern we built, and more,

Private/shared furnished rooms in my castle-home, there is now a new Hot spring pool ...The weather is COLD now, but as it gets warmer, there is electric and fans and Evaporative cooler... I get HOT Spring water to the pool and house each day fresh...

I am a former Resort manager/Project Manager and retired now (HA!) to do my OWN project....Im also 50, lively, active and a Muslim. Im doing most of the work by hand, I love it here, I buy and sell land and want to develope my Mud village for tourists to enjoy... My Butte home is on top of ancient Pharonic Tombs and was the origional settlement of this valley. I have no neighbors (that you can see). Im within 4 meters of the Palm tree Plantations and surrounding gardens.
We will feed you WELL and visit the desert to collect amazing Stones and crystals, have BBQ's under the stars, visit other Farms and local Families... THIS is the REAL Egypt, where it all began and still is...Come see...YOUR help will make a difference here!
