Experience the rural Western Canadian hospitality and culture
Country: Canada
Description
We enjoy hosting volunteers from around the world and across the country, showing them rural Western Canadian hospitality and culture. We are a family owned and operated ranching business and is currently looking for volunteers to help with a large cow herd, horse training, general ranch maintenance and equine educational experiences.
We raise cattle for sale as beef. We use horses to work with the cattle and to feed in the winter. The horses are used for equestrian education as well as ranch work.
Mission Statement
By managing natural resources in an environmentally sustainable manner we provide for the needs of our family so that we have an opportunity to help others in the larger community.
We are always exploring new ways to decrease the negative environmental impact of our actions on the land and it's inhabitants. We use human, dog and horse power as frequently as possible. That means we do much of our cattle work on the back of a horse or with a team of horses.
