    Description

I am a traveller that came home to roost after 4 years on the road. I had been running a rental which I have just sold and downsized.

So now I would like some help with this garden, some sprucing up of the home and some household chores.

My present home is on a reserve with a little creek running at the back. Your going to love it if you are a nature lover. It is a haven, very private from the neighbours with a leafy outlook, two living areas and an 8 minute walk from Flynns beach. You would have your own bedroom with a shared bathroom and there is an extra toilet and shower in the laundry. Options for couples available.

There are good transport options to get to Port from anywhere in Australia. We have an airport with regular service to the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne + Sydney. The train comes into Wauchope with a bus connection to town. Or you can come by bus from almost anywhere in NSW.

Port Macquarie is a very popular tourist location with many natural attractions in and around the area. Wonderful beaches for surfers and swimmers and fabulous walks. We have a healthy Koala population and you are sure to see lots of wildlife in this area. A visit to the Koala Hospital is a must to find out all about them and at Billabong Park you can get more info and have a photo opportunity as well as seeing and feeding kangaroos, wallaby and emu.

If dolphins and whales are on your check list get ready to tick them off. The whales tack in to Tacking Point on their way north in winter and back down south in summer. There are many Whale watching boats to take you out to see them and get up close and personal. They can often be spotted from the coast where there are many whale watching platforms and good observation points.

There are many pods of dolphins that are full time residents in around the many waterways in Port and the surrounding areas. Any cruise on the Hastings river will surely see them searching for food or riding your wake. They are quiet often spotted surfing at the beaches. They love riding the waves!

If you have been land locked get ready for a sea-change. If you have always wanted to learn how to surf we have some great options at Flynns Beach. You are actually spoilt for beaches in Port as there are several. Knobby being my favourite even though it is deemed our dog beach and has no life savers.

This is a 2 bedroom home with 2 living areas, one that has a sofa bed. There is a veranda with BBQ, lovely gardens, outdoor setting next to a little creek and all in a very leafy, private and safe setting. Double bedroom that shares a bathroom with separate toilet and shower in the laundry.

If you have been land locked get ready for a sea - change. Our town runs along the Pacific ocean on the southern side of the beautiful Hastings river. If you have ever wanted to learn how to surf we have some great options with a surf school run from Flynns Beach. You are actually spoilt for beaches in Port as there are several. Knobby being my favourite even if it is deemed the dog beach and has no life savers on patrol.

There is transport from town that will take you out to Billabong Park to get up close with some Aussie wildlife. They have Koala and reptile shows daily. A little further west in the bus and you come to Wauchope where you will find Timbertown. This is a working heritage park and is a great way to see some of our history.

Did I mention we have our very own Koala Hospital because of our large koala population. The hospital does an amazing job with its equally amazing volunteers. I really recommend a visit and one of their many daily guided tours to find out more about koalas and what the hospital achieves for them.

Port started its life as a penal Colony and we have a small, but unique museum in town that is also worth a visit, as is the old Court House which is also open to the public. There is also a historical house right next to the Koala Hospital that will have you transported back to the 1800's and give you a good idea of what life was like here in those days.
