Description
Hi we are a friendly family living on a beef farm in the far north of NZ only 12kms from Kaitaia. We have 3 boys aged 9,11 and 13yrs who are very happy and energetic. Also various animals like cats, dogs, horses, and some calves.
Our lives are very busy with running the farm and running around after 3 kids which is why we are looking for some extra help during the busy season.

Help
We are looking for singles or couples who can help with some farm tasks like feeding out hay or shifting break fences (no previous experience necessary) also with feeding calves. And some help inside with cooking and light cleaning duties as well as looking after and playing with kids. It is essential to enjoy being around children and animals.

The accommodation provided is a seperate sleepout with a queen bed and shower and toilet.

You will have weekends free to look around the north. There are buses available from Kaitaia to go places if you have no transport also Paihia and the Bay of Islands is only 1 hour away with plenty to see and do there.

We felt welcome from the very beginning on. Karen and Bryce are so friendly and the kids already spend time with us from the first day on. Our tasks mostly were feeding hay to the cows and doing some other general duties around the house like painting, cleaning or gardening.… read more
than was expected of them. The kids also benefited with Laurenz being so inventive and amazing at making stuff for them.
Would definately recommend these 2 as workaway people. You will not be disappointed.
While enjoying the hospitality and kindness of Karen and Bryce for 4 weeks we got to experience a lot of things that we will keep in memory for ever.

So friendly and fun to have around. Always keen and willing to do whatever was asked
of her and more. We were very sad to see her move on. Would have her back anytime.
Would absolutely recommend Lynn as a workaway person, you wont be disappointed.
