We invite you to come and join our life in the mountains!
We live in a very beautyful and remote area (Valea Babii near Lunca Cernii near Hunedoara). In 2014 we came from a long travel and fell in love with this land, so we settled here.
Is kind of an ecovillage in wich we live. But our family is a project on their own.
It’s a nice valley in a beautiful mountain-landscape, the Locals here live still in traditional ways as farmers and shepards.
We have big vegetable gardens and fields (around 4000 sqm).
Theres orchard with many fruit trees.
Theres big meadows and haylands.
Also it’s a lot of forest around,
And beautiful walks with great view.
We are Kadi and Korbi, our children Lean (3 ½) and Muna (2). Korbis Mum is sometimes staying with us, too. Theres also our cow Balana, the ponyhorse Doina, around 20 chicken and Mao, the cat.
We are easy going people with a free lifestyle and we like to do a lot.
We are creative and productive. Loving and fighting. Smart and stupid. Relaxed and hardworking. Chaotic and wild.
Our aim is to create this human-life -space, to make it more and more beautiful and self-sufficient, to give our children the space to grow up natural and free, to learn and live and love and to serve no other masters than ourselves and creation.
We are open for all kind of new People and we enjoy to come together and exchange!
We have a lot of stuff going on all the time, mainly construction projects, gardening, making hay... Right now to do theres for example:
-Building a big new shed
-Building a fence for the cow and horse
-Preparing the gardens, planting Potatoes and other things, mulching.
-Setting up the greenhouse
-Collecting wild food like nettles, cooking, housework, making cheese etc
We have no schedules or anything like that. We do whatever comes up and we feel like doing.
In summer we usually have a lot of volunteers, it’s a nice atmosphere, we cook together in the outside-kitchen on the fire and work all together.
Sleeping rooms are in tents and some other guest spaces we created.
We have also two guest rooms inside a house.
Everything is very basic, theres a compost toilet, theres a outside-bathroom with a boiler-oven to get hot water for shower and washing machine. Please use only natural soap and shampoo (we can provide).
Be aware theres no shops, no puplic transport, no hospital nearby!
We bake our own bread and have from summer on a lot of fresh food from the gardens and a lot of fruits in autumn. Cheese and milk we have from our cow, eggs from the chicken.
Theres Busses from Hunedoara to Lunca Cernii every Wednesday and Friday.
They leave behind the market.
Hitchhiking is also common.
Maybe we can also pick you up from Hunedoara if we are going to town.
From the Bus-Station Valea Babii it’s a 5 km long gravel road, often very muddy.
We can possibly pick you up from there with the little tractor, it’s a funny ride.
Or just ask around for Korbi and Kadi, most people know us, they will show you the way.
We like spontaneous visits. ;)
.. welcome, were looking forward meeting you!
