Region: Midi Pyrenees**Urgent help needed to create new accommodation in the loft. If you have experience of building or carpentry there is also a possibility of paid extra work** We are creating a pilgrims' rest, campsite and yoga retreat near the French Pyrénées and we would like some workaways to help us work and play :) It's time to put the potager (veg patch) to bed for the winter and we are about to start work on renovating the attic to create more pilgrim accommodation. You can check out our progress on our website and Facebook page which we can send to you via email. We are a family of four - kids aged 8 and 6 - who moved from Norfolk in England in July 2012. We work hard while the kids are at school but we also like to play hard so please come with sense of humour intact. We have a dog, four cats and three kittens and will soon be adding chickens (once we've finished the chicken coop) and pigs to the menagerie. We want to grow as much fruit as veg as we can. I teach yoga, pilates and Zumba classes in the local community (in French and English) and we are also creating a studio in our barn for yoga/creative writing holidays. The house and land are beautiful but there is a lot of work to be done. We have found our ideal jobs but on our own it will take too long. That's why we need you!
Region: Salto de las Rosas - Near San Rafael - Mendoza provinceWe are a family of 3. Him an American, her a Brit and our 14 year old daughter. We have 4 cats and 2 dogs. We are all (with the exception of one of the cats) very friendly, sociable and flexible in our outlook to life. This is a relaxed, laid back volunteer work environment and if you are looking for a break from the party hostels, late drunken nights, and not staying in one place for more than a couple of nights then this might fit the bill. We are in a rural location but we do have a village nearby where we go to regularly for supplies and volunteers can always come with us if they need to stock up. In brief, our arrangement is that each volunteer works for 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday or a total of 20 hours per week, in exchange for very comfortable accommodation and provision of food for breakfast and dinner on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You prepare your own breakfast but we share kitchen duties for cooking dinner and clean up between our family and our volunteers. Our location is 30km South East of San Rafael which is a town in the Mendoza Province of Argentina and not in or near the city of Mendoza. Please check a map before making an inquiry so that you know where we are.
