Hi right now i could do with the assistance of one female vegetarian/vegan type person to help keep the house clean tidy cook help in the garden etc. in a month or so i will have more space, for now while its cold here i only need one more person as above but please contact me later in the year when its a bit warmer i will be able to accommodate more people then - i am an experienced gardener working on various farms and gardens with communities and individuals, occasionally i work in property maintenance building work pluming carpentry etc but mostly i am working in the ngo voluntary sector teaching gardening bhakti yoga meditation eco building etc (at all the projects i work on there is a vegetarian/vegan diet no meat fish eggs drugs alcohol smoking etc) there could be more people here once the new eco farm i will be managing is set up or more people now if you don't mind basic or shared accommodation, the first people are helping set up courses grants or gardening, i can find other things to do if you cant do these things as i do a lot of different things. check out the photos and think which way as a society and as an individual we are going, are we growing our own food or going towards begging and slavery? i have seen both and am willing to help people learn how to grow food, if you want to help me, or me to help you learn, let me know -

Hi, We're a French/English family from Normandy and we're looking for a physically fit, motivated volunteer with a strong work ethic who can come anytime from March onwards and and stay with us ideally for a couple of months to help with various jobs around our home and garden. We're looking for someone who is 'hands-on' and happy to work outside. Ideally, you'll have some experience in the following areas and an interest to learn more: - painting and decorating - fencing - gardening (rotavating, digging, pruning, weeding, planting, lawn work) Life is very busy and varied here on our dairy farm/B&B. You'll need to be fairly fit, not mind getting dirty or being outside and have a good sense of humour. If you like meeting people (we have lots of clients from all over the world in our B&B) and have a willing disposition, you'll fit in well. We have plenty of outdoors work to do this spring/summer, including painting lots of window/doors, gardening, fencing and general maintenance. We are looking for someone who does not watch the clock and is happy in a work-orientated, positive, 'go-getting' environment and who likes to unwind simply, with a nice meal and a glass of wine at the end of the day. In return for your help, we'll look after you as one of the family. You'll have a comfortable bedroom with your own bathroom, with free WiFi access and great food. You must be able to live in a busy, noisy household with children (5, 8 and 10), three cats and a crazy little dog! The dairy farm is our main business and if you are interested, there is the opportunity to learn about this too. Sorry, but we are unable to cater for special diets as we produce and eat our own meat, poultry and dairy produce. We do not allow smoking in the house or buildings. Other than that, we are easy to get along with and like meeting people and sharing stories. We look forward to hearing from you.

We are a French family living in Brittany, Anne and Thierry, we have 3 children - a 19 year old who lives with us and 2 older who don't, one of which has a son and a girl so we are grandparents! We have a very friendly dog and 2 cats. We are close to the historic towns of St Malo and Dinan and only 40 minutes from le Mont St Michel. We live 200 metres from the beach which has a resident seal and we are close to many other great beaches. We have been running a 'Chambres d'Hôtes' (B&B) for 10 years which we will occasionally need help with. We have room for 1 or 2 enthusiastic persons or couple who can help us with numerous tasks. We live within a short walk of the local village with it's boulangerie, creperie, cafes, bars and cider and crepe factory. As in most of Brittany, the area is rich in history and traditions and we can share our knowledge of the area, its customs, cuisine and music. If you don't have your own vehicule, Anne can take you to visit some of the beautiful surrounding areas to where we live, we also have bikes that you can use. You won't have set days off, you can just ask when you want to go to a specific place and Anne will fit you in around her work. We lived in Germany for 13 years so can speak German if you wish! Thierry has travelled a lot and speaks good English as well as German. Our daughter also speaks English and German but normally we just speak French. We love meeting people from elsewhere and delight in sharing our knowledge and you can benefit from the experience of living with a typical french family. We have a sailing boat and 2 canoes and a 'Doris' (rowing boat). You can use the canoes and rowing boat if you wish and Thierry can take you on the sailing boat if it interests you! We also have a 100 year old boudoir grand piano which Thierry and son play, so if you play, feel free to use it and share your knowledge!

Run a holiday accommodation in the Daintree, have studied Teaching Degree, Arts Degree, Commercial Patterns. Have travelled Thailand, Bali, Eastern Europe, Cambodia, Laos. Dived most of North Queensland, studied diving up to Dive Instructor level but never worked for long in the field. Throughout the 90's worked as a university administrator. Have one daughter aged 20 who lives/studies in Darwin. Care for elderly mother here at home in the Daintree while studying an Environmental Science degree.
