Area: NorthlandI live in the beautiful Tutukaka coast area on a 10 acres lifestyle block with my two children. I'm still getting established on the property after relocating here a whether board cottage a year ago. There is still a lot of work ahead but I enjoy coming home at night and mostly spending time on the many stunning beaches nearby. I work as a social worker in Whangarei and I'm actively involved in the life of my community. I love good food and cooking and eat mostly organic and locally grown products.
Area: AndaluciaI was a musician in the London Philharmonic Orchestra for 15 years. I moved to Spain 5 years ago and started my own company running various classical music projects. This includes two large international music festivals in Cadiz and Extremadura, a youth orchestra (celebrating 2012 in Cadiz) and various state education courses and other concerts with my 11 piece string ensemble, The Soloists of London (finest musicians from the London orchestras). When I am not on a project I love to be in Alcala de los Gazules to work on future projects, walk and cycle in the national park with my Dutch partner and mix with the locals. But my real passion is organising and playing in concerts and sharing this with different publics and young people !
Area: EnglandDoggie Training and general help required in small, friendly household, West Yorkshire. We are a family of four, I Monika, my partner Pete and our two doggies "babies" Alfie and Millie! We discovered workaway through my Son and his friend who spent a year touring the world volunteering with the workaway scheme having a fabulous time so ,after hearing their adventures we decided it would be ideal for us to sign up as hosts ourselves. We are easy going, relaxed, down to earth folk who like nothing more than to socialize with interesting people. We would like to open our doors to workawayers not just for help with our "babies" and in the home, but also to take part in a cultural exchange and to meet new people. We both work full time, on a shift basis, so we need volunteers who are motivated and who can work under their own initiative. Like most households there is not a lot to be done here, but there is always the daily activities of cleaning, dog walking and preparing evening meals, but we are receptive to new ideas and will try to adapt tasks to your individual skills.
