Area: LeinsterWE HAVE AN OPENING FROM OCTOBER 20Th approx for a practical, farming- friendly workawayer for two to three weeks to help out with getting the farm winter-ready and paintings windows. We are living on a farm just one hour by bus from Dublin in the foothills of the Wicklow mountains in (South) Co Kildare. We are a family of 7 - five children (13 - 21), and ourselves, along with dogs, cats, ponies, hens and cattle. Our agricultural industries are beef, tillage and forestry, and we farm in an environmentaLly friendly way from a large 18th century house and garden which is open to the public. We live just outside the village of Moone. We have a tennis court, lovely farm walks, bicycles. A couple of km away is the 11th century Kilkea Castle, home to the Dukes of Leinster. A great cycle for the day takes you on a tour of Round Towers and High Crosses, or perhaps take the bus to Dublin or Kilkenny (one of the smallest cities you'll ever see!). The peaceful monastic mountain retreat of Glendalough is 45 minutes by car.
Area: Bay of PlentyHello, carla and I are owners and operators of a small Luxury Eco Lodge just north of Waihi on the foot of the Coromandel Peninsula on a 100 hectare hilly farm overlooking the Pacific Ocean and the hintenland of the Coromandel. We are open all year round for tourists from all over the world. We would love to have some help with small jobs around our place. We also have to naturally train our frisian horses!!! So if you are "Good" with horses and love to help me with it please get back to us
Area: Kangaroo Island, South AustraliaI privately teach conversational, business and special purpose English at our Farmstay on Kangaroo Island, South Australia. As a volunteer you can exchange helping on farm for accommodation and meals and just pay for your English lessons. Private lessons are approximately 12 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Cost is Aud $300 per week, plus because you are living in your teacher's home you get lots of extra free help while you are with us. Lessons can be conversational, business, special purpose or a mix of all three. Often they are activity based so they are enjoyable and it is easier to remember what you have learned. Minimum stay is two weeks, arriving on a Sunday evening and leaving on a Friday evening or Saturday morning. As an English student-volunteer you are able to stay as many weeks over the minimum as you want to study English. Provided you fulfil the Department of Immigration requirements, we can sign the Second Working Holiday Visa form for you if you are considering staying in Australia for a second year. Learning English with me is nothing like being in language school! Because you are living in your teacher's home, as a member of the family, are immersed in English all the time, get private lessons and can ask for extra free help anytime, you have the opportunity to improve your English quickly and enjoyably. If you are interested in being an English student, then work for accommodation and meals, please contact me and I'll send you an application form.
